I had lost my vehicle to damage from the hurricane in September. In the first of October, I had found a replacement vehicle at this dealership. I was looking to replace exactly what I was driving Unfortu September. In the first of October, I had found a replacement vehicle at this dealership. I was looking to replace exactly what I was driving Unfortunately what I found was two years older and because of timing Interest rates are higher. What I got seemed to be OK. I was told it had a clean vehicle history report. This company uses Auto Check instead of Carfax. Within the first week of driving it off a lot I had transmission issues that had to be fixed. And within the first six weeks of having it, I was very unhappy with it. Tried to live with it because I didn’t want to have to switch vehicles again. But by, the end of two months I was hating it. I was paying more for the same vehicle I had had previously but it was two years older. And there were just things about it I could not live with. I decided to buy something completely different, and when I went to a different dealership Found out I was almost $15,000 upside down from what my vehicle was worth. They pulled a Carfax and found out it had been rear ended. It was not worth what I paid for it. Luckily, they were the ones who suggested I go back to Jarrett and talk to them about my issue to see if they would help me make things right. I went back and talk to the GM Chris about my problem and told him I found out about the Carfax and how upside down I am with this vehicle that I don’t even like. He was so kind, knowing how upset I was, looked into my financing and the Carfax report and told me not to worry that they would make it right and he would not let me leave until I was happy. He asked if I would like to work with Kaleigh my previous sales girl. I said absolutely because she took very good care of me the first time. She too, was unaware of the Carfax report and the previous damage that vehicle had gotten. We spent a good portion of the day checking out all the style and price vehicles I was interested in from their lot or any of their other dealerships. They would’ve brought to me any vehicle from any of them that I wanted to test drive and find a replacement with. They let me take as much time as I needed to make my decision of replacement. Kaleigh took a lot of time going through the vehicle’s on their lot as well as everything she could pull up that I might be interested in from their other dealerships. Luckily, I actually found a replacement vehicle on their lot and they worked with me by buying back the first one and replacing it with a different one that I was happy with. They were wonderful handling the finances of getting rid of the first one and getting me financing for my new one. It was wonderful to have a car dealership that cared more about my happiness and experience with them than money. That alone is a reason I would highly highly recommend doing business with them. You won’t get a better car buying experience anywhere. Or deal with more kind, caring people than they are. So to say, I am beyond thrilled with what I am driving now and how everything was handled is an understatement. More
You brace yourself going into a car dealership. Prepare mentally for the oncoming “pushy salesmen.” And then… they don’t come. Instead, you get extremely friendly people who don’t try to “push” anything on you. They’re helpful. They listen. They’re accommodating. Went there today to get my tire fixed. I had ran over a nail and it went flat. I had been up bright and early to take my daughter to a medical procedure in Fort Myers. I was so exhausted and didn't even feel like going to Ford but knew I had to because the tire has to be fixed for another important medical appointment for her Thursday. Anyways, we get there and they said they were about to go to lunch but would try to get to my tire in about two hours or so. Then I showed him my Fidelity warranty that Ford sold me when I got my car for roadside tire repair and replace. He told me they don't take those. I told him Ford sold it to me and I had used it at this location several times in the past. Then he said 'well we just stopped taking them about two months ago". I said "I was told when I purchased it all Ford's would honor it". He said "well you didn't purchase it from us".I said, "you're Ford right?" He then said 'We aren't Matthew Currie". I again reminded him I had never had an issue with using it at his location before. His manager was conveniently at lunch. We left and called Matthew Currie in Nokomis. She said he was wrong, they should accept it, it's an agreement with the warranty place and Ford etc. We ended up driving all the way to Nokomis. We had already just came from Fort Myers, dropped our daughter off at home in North Port, then went back to Port Charlotte. Now we had to head from Port Charlotte to Nokomis. I was already exhausted and stressed and Port Charlotte Ford just helped add to it. When we arrived at Matthew Currie Ford they were so nice. They said it was wrong of them to not honor our warranty. He is ordering us a new tire completely free of charge because of our warranty (and they couldn't patch it). I would recommend if you are in the Market for a new car or to get repairs to drive down to Matthew Curries in Nokomis. We bought our car from them in 2018 and they have always honored our warranties that Ford sold us! ALSO found out you shouldn't drive over 70 miles on a donut. Something else he was wrong about!!!! More
I would not recommend this dealer to anyone. They said when I ordered it it did not lock it in. xxxxxxxx move to up charge on a ordered unit. Very bad Business and I would have to say dirt bag move. STAY AWAY More
