I really like the new management and they are more respectful than previous management and listen to what you need and give great advice and feedback. respectful than previous management and listen to what you need and give great advice and feedback. More

Contacted them and got the "we sell our used cars as-is, go away" treatment. Now I have to spend thousands on repairs that they should have had ready to go. I'll never go back. More

First — when scheduling the appointment online, I had three choices: recommended maintenance for like $600, oil change, or other. That $600 recommendation gives a negative impression, like you’re just out for my money. I came in ready to defend myself against a hard sell. (Good news: the staff were very good — the experience I feared was NOT the experience I had.) Second — most other dealerships have spaces for people to work while they wait. Janesville Kia has a bar area that’s designed to have power outlets built in, but it doesn’t… which feels kind of cheap/unfinished. I just have to hope that the one chair under the TV that’s close to a wall outlet is free. More

I drove my 2017 Kia Niro to Janesville Kia after scheduling an appointment to have them look at it. An issue was presenting that I blamed on the transmission. They could not get the car to act up as scheduling an appointment to have them look at it. An issue was presenting that I blamed on the transmission. They could not get the car to act up as I described. They still suggested two "repairs" that I agreed to: the HCA and the OCV sensor. After they made those "repairs", they called me to say that they suspected there were other issues with the transmission that would be extremely expensive to even diagnose let alone fix. They mentioned a slave cylinder and a fly wheel. I agreed to pay them for the HCA and OCV "repairs" and told them to leave it at that. The service manager then told me that they were recommending that I don't drive the car. I stopped by and paid them for the repairs and a service writer went to get my car in the parking lot. He pulled up in the car, got out and handed me the key. I got in to see a huge warning displayed on the dashboard mentioning the hybrid system. It was telling me to shut the car off. I still tried to drive it. The car couldn't achieve speeds above 25 mph. The internal combination engine would run but it would only generate electricity for the electric motor to use. I got about a mile from Janesville Kia and realized that the recommendation of not driving the car really meant that my car wasn't going anywhere without a tow truck. I've decided it's best for me to never do business with Janesville Kia. And I would need an incredibly low price before I bought another Kia. But I am willing to listen if the general manager or owner at Janesville Kia would like to try and change my mind. More
