The problem I’m having at James Wood GMC is the service department. I bought a new GMC AT4 and on my first oil change o came home and after the truck sit in my driveway overnight I noticed I had an oil lea department. I bought a new GMC AT4 and on my first oil change o came home and after the truck sit in my driveway overnight I noticed I had an oil leak. I drove the truck back to James Wood and informed them of the problem and also that the mechanic noted that he check my air filters and with all the dust on my engine I asked them to explain to me how that was done with no hand prints on the air filter compartment. Also I had caulked the left rear tire and it was noted that they rotated my tires yet the left rear was still on the same spot. The service manager gave me a $25 master card to fix mr problem haha. Now o have to bring the truck in to gave the transmission checked because it is slipping. I’m told to bring it in tomorrow Monday but it will sit for at least 2 days before they get around to looking at it and I get no loaner so I will be without a car for at least 2 days or longer. The service manager advices me of this. So I had taken it for another iPod charge a week ago and xxxx after backing out of my driveway last night I see I have another leak. So we will see what happens tomorrow morning when I take it in. The sales department is good but the service department is horrible. My daughters are both looking to but new cars one wants a Yukon but now she will look to another dealership. I will also be looking for a different dealership as I’m looking to but another TA4 2023 More
I had a great experience at James Wood. My sales person was Jeff Mulkey and I also had the experience of meeting the sales manager Greg (who quickly resolved a few issues/concerns). The only I have to say negative is that online the miles showed 16,000 but when I picked the vehicle it there were 19,000😲. I wanted the vehicle so I went ahead and purchased it. Yes I would recommend James Woods to my family/friends. More
I'm unsure of how a CHEVROLET MANAGER is supposed to act when business does not fall through. DAVID SWEEDEN for sure does not know how to respond when business doesn't work out. I was given a better deal for the actual truck I wanted and was looking for. After looking more into the deal DAVID SWEEDEN was making me vs what was given to me by another dealer - Almost seemed as if I was losing out. Which led me to decide to choose the Limited LT Trail boss over a rst with some accessories. Prices were about the same out the door. So I returned the truck(RST) he used as a borrowers agreement on 11/27/21. Around 345pm on 11/27/21 David SWEEDEN approached my new 2022 Limited LT Trail boss and knocked on my window hard with his RING. I opened my door and as I did DAVID SWEEDEN starts calling me a sorry person. I explained that I found the truck I wanted and a good deal. So DAVID SWEEDEN gets mad and slams my new truck door with his RING (I have the marks on my door and should be on camera with your company). DAVID SWEEDEN should not have damaged my property, he should not have confronted me at all or outside the building and he should not be a manager. Also a manager with a very reputable company like JAMES WOOD CHEVROLET DENTON should not be calling people out of name. I do not feel comfortable knowing my info is left at your company with this type of person(DAVID SWEEDEN). More

Oh, no! After waiting three weeks for an appointment, they took my Chevy Malibu back to the service bay for a GM recall issue they came back and said it will be 1.5 hours before they can get to it and th they took my Chevy Malibu back to the service bay for a GM recall issue they came back and said it will be 1.5 hours before they can get to it and the software update takes 2 hours. So, we're supposed to wait in the COVID-city waiting room because they can't schedule properly or tell people in advance that you should be prepared to leave the car for 3 to 4 hours? No one is doing the socially distancing thing in here while Denton virus numbers are so high. NO WAY will I ever buy a car from them or use their service again. Upon asking for my car back, the service attendant just said "Oh, OK, whatever." Tammy was nice but totally powerless to help. The scheduling people should TELL customers about the expected wait time even when you have an appointment! What a sloppy, stupid system and poor customer service. I guess because they make no money off of a recall, you don't matter. More
UPDATE to Review posted 8/15/2020.: I returned to Jamea Wood Service, Denton, TX the very next morning. I spoke with the Service Manager and had the botched tire patch addressed satisfactorily. I veried the engine filter replacement by asking them to pull and show me filter.. The only item that wasn't taken care of is the tire stem cap was not replaced. It is still missing. Unfortunately, I did not check this before I left. I will have to stop by another day to get this. The Service Manager and I visited by phone a couple days after my return for service corrections. I appreciate that my concerns were addressed. More
