I had wanted to take care of everything before coming in so that I could just come in and take delivery. When I mentioned the price I wanted to be at, Pierre told "we can make something work". So I come in with my pristine trade (after they saw everything from my photos) to come in $7,000 over. That is not "we can make something work" Not only did I waste my time here, but I missed out on the car I wanted at the other dealer. I am sure they will make more money on someone else, but they have lost a customer and certainly references given people come to me for car advice. Lesson learned. Stay away. More
Do not purchase, trade, or have your vehicle serviced at this dealership. They are really all about how much money they can make, could care less about customer service, and no care for the brand that they this dealership. They are really all about how much money they can make, could care less about customer service, and no care for the brand that they represent. Went to this dealership to place an order for a replacement vehicle. Please keep in mind I have previously bought a truck from them (not the one being replaced) and have had my car serviced there for years. I am also part of the GM Family First. Before placing our order we gave the dealership our case number, adviser's name, and number. They spoke to our advisor, knew that we were placing this order to replace the GM vehicle that we currently own. Days after we spoke with the dealership, we go in and place the order. We placed the five hundred dollar deposit down on this truck and received an order number. THREE WEEKS later this dealership cancelled our order without telling us. We found out when we checked our status on Chevrolet's website. When I spoke with the dealership to find out what happened, I was told that they cancelled the order because they were not going to make any money off of this truck. That was their only excuse as to why they cancelled this order - no other reason than because they were not going to make any money off of this truck. Please do not support this business in any way. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!! this is bad experience number 1-- I purchased a truck from here a couple years ago on July 3rd '18. I had to put money down on the truck which my bank info was given to th number 1-- I purchased a truck from here a couple years ago on July 3rd '18. I had to put money down on the truck which my bank info was given to the finance dept. to take the down payment. after a few weeks I started getting phone calls from the sales person (who I will not mention out of respect) who left me voicemails saying that if I didn't pay the down payment that they were going to report the truck stolen. Keep in mind that I had already signed the finance papers and they had my bank info and was supposed to withdrawal the down payment and failed to do so. So I continued to get terrible phone calls until I called and reminded them they had my bank info and was supposed to withdrawal the payment. I also had the extended warranty on the truck and 2 years into owning it, I had to have the motor rebuilt after a valve seat dropped causing the rod to rub the camshaft almost in two. upon finding the warranty paper and after paying out of pocket almost 5k it was learned that the warranty was void because I DID NOT HAVE ALL THE OIL CHANGES DONE AT THE DEALERSHIP!!!! so no reimbursement for the repair....GO FIGURE. This dealer seems to be about all profit and not taking care of customers. This is bad experience number 2 -- My fiancé and I was looking to buy a new car. I brushed off the first incident and went back to the dealer and the same sales person. we bought a 2020 Malibu in October of 2020. At the dealership we found out that if you owned a chevy previously you got a 1000.00 credit. She did so we explained to the salesperson that we could send in a copy of the title but it may be a week or two as she was going through a divorce and we had to get the title, after a week or so here the phone calls come saying we had to pay the 1000.00 out of pocket or the deal was off. again, this was AFTER the paperwork was signed and the deal was complete. this put my fiance into a panic. I had to call the dealership and after a week of reaching out my call was finally returned and once again I had to explain the title deal. Shortly after we got the title and that issue was resolved. What a way to treat people with the horrible calls! A couple months into owning the brand new car it overheats. upon calling the service dept. they told my fiancé to drive the car in lol so she did. This was after I told her not to drive the car that it was a horrible idea but, the service dept. insisted that she drive the car in stating it would be ok to drive! it was learned that a pinhole was the issue and the dealer fixed it with no out of pocket expense (that's the only plus here so far). Shortly after over heating I noticed the front cowl was bubbling up and warping down causing an uneven gap from the hood to the cowl. The car to this day gets excessively hot up by the cowl even though the car is not over heating. So I call the service dept., make arrangements to take the car in, was SUPPOSED to leave the car and get a rental car when we arrived. well that didn't happen. A service rep came out took photos of the car and said they would have to file a claim through GM. this is a new car!!! why in the world would they have to see if Gm would cover this. If you're guessing it wasn't covered YOU ARE CORRECT!!!! after MANY MANY MANY phone calls and messages left with NO return phone calls I finally spoke to someone who told me to bring the car back in so they could take BETTER pictures to re-submit the claim to see if it gets approved. I failed to mention that when we showed up to look at and obviously buy the 2020 Malibu I was told that I would get a $100.00 referral check for coming back since my fiancé bought the car. THAT NEVER HAPPENED EITHER!! Now, I am looking to trade the Malibu in, but not here!! I have read most of the reviews and the dealership respond's with "please give us a call" but never gives a name of whom to speak with. Just another ploy to make themselves look good as if they are trying to make things right! I haven't worked the folks that I had to rate so I apologize to you about the rating even though you didn't assist me. that person isn't listed. More
Terrible service. Temporary tags expired on new leased vehicle, reached out to salesman to figure out where my new tags/plates are, no email or phone call for 5 days. Once he finally got back, he said the vehicle, reached out to salesman to figure out where my new tags/plates are, no email or phone call for 5 days. Once he finally got back, he said they were on their way and should be here on the following Thursday. Two days later, he figured out there was an issue with a payment. We fixed that issue and he said they would be send out to me. Over fourteen days later and still no tags/plates. During this process, I received no phone calls, only emails that were always delayed. During the 5 day period of no contact, I tried to ask for the manager, they said he would not be able to help and didn't transfer me. I tried to email the sales manager, no contact from him as well. Never will come back to this trash place again. More
I am writing to express my disappointment and dissatisfaction with commitment to customer satisfaction in the staff at Jake Sweeney Chevrolet. My daughter purchased a Chevy Equinox a few months dissatisfaction with commitment to customer satisfaction in the staff at Jake Sweeney Chevrolet. My daughter purchased a Chevy Equinox a few months ago. The sales rep stated that Jake Sweeney could and would install a hitch for her. Over a week later we were informed that Jake Sweeney did not install hitches, a gross overlook on the part of the sales rep. He then recommended where we could go to install it, although my daughter lives in Columbus. At the time the sales rep stated it could not be done in Columbus. I went in with my daughter to inquire more information as to why the hitch could not be installed in Columbus, to which the sales rep stated 'that would be a great idea'. Not sure where the communication breakdown began, but it certainly has continued, as my daughter has yet to have her hitch installed. We were directed to a U-Haul in Columbus, who has TWO times stated they don't have the hitch in stock, not delivered! This fiasco began with Jake Sweeney and the poor service/direction we received. Please make this right and provide the much needed support. I remind you of your mission statement that drives your company: Here at Jake Sweeney Chrysler Dodge Jeep® RAM, we dedicate ourselves to ensure that all of our customers leave the dealership satisfied. It doesn't matter what you need--service, parts, or financing--we will do our absolute best to ensure that you leave happy with your visit and all of your questions were answered. Presently, we are NOT happy. More
Upon being notified that my check engine light detected an emissions problem and paying $130 to be told it wasn't under warranty even though my 2017 Silverado has less than 50K miles on it, I was immediate an emissions problem and paying $130 to be told it wasn't under warranty even though my 2017 Silverado has less than 50K miles on it, I was immediately perturbed that I was still being charged this fee. As I voiced my irritation to Mike Adams, the service tech and being told by him how" I've worked on cars all my life" at least ten times, he informed me that he had heard enough. My voice never raised nor did I use bad language with any personal attack. At that point, I drove to front of dealership and voiced my complaints to a manager and the service manager. They have offered me a 30% discount on the repairs but no offer of refunding the inspection fee. I have purchased well over a 100K in vehicles with them and this even includes returning after they did not tighten the oil nut after an oil change on my Chrysler van 3 years ago and nearly blowing up the engine. I did get a free oil change out that, sarcastically. This experience proves to me that GM will not back their vehicles in any ordinate amount of time and that myself being a multi customer does not mean a hill of beans. I will take my business elsewhere. I can only advise others to be very careful with them and the GM warranties. I have learned a valuable lesson. More
The service department did an oil change and tire rotation which resulted in a much overfilled crankcase and extremely over-tightened lug nuts. Won't go into the full details of my polite attempts t rotation which resulted in a much overfilled crankcase and extremely over-tightened lug nuts. Won't go into the full details of my polite attempts to get an apology and assurance that they would make an effort to not let this happen to other people. Everyone in a mangerial capacity in the service department could care less about the time and expense I went to to get my oil back to a normal level and my lug nuts loosened. They are not competent and don't care. More
