Our GREAT Experience with Jared Hale at Jake Sweeney. When we came to Jake Sweeney, we had only been in our vehicle for about a year and a half. We had A LOT of negative equity and very high payments. After telling my cousin how unhappy I was she brought me straight into Jared Hale's office, and I'm VERY thankful she did. Jared was very professional and nice! Jared went above and beyond what we were expecting. I explained our situation to him and he told me he would do everything he could to help us, and that is EXACTLY what he did! He looked at what would be the biggest benefit to our family, and that meant so much to my husband and I! We did not feel like he was just trying to sell us a car, in fact, we KNEW he REALLY wanted to help our family! I couldn't hardly believe my ears when Jared told me he could put us into a BRAND NEW Chevrolet Traverse for almost $100.00 less than what we were currently paying! It was a dream come true for our family. Jared made us feel at home at Jake Sweeney and treated us like family. He answered any and every question we had. Jared walked us through the car buying process and was with us each step of the way. After we signed all the paperwork, Jared stayed past his work time to show us around our new vehicle! After we left Jake Sweeney in our new Traverse, he looked in the previous car we were in and called us to let us know he had found our garage door opener that we had left in it! That was very, very sweet! Jared was with us EVERY step of the way and even helped us after we were gone!! We can not say enough how happy we are with our experience at Jake Sweeney and most of all how happy we are that we were able to work with Jared Hale! Darrin is a very genuine person that knows how to reach a persons heart when the decision making process is very important when committing to the purchase of a new vehicle. I was first in the market for a used vehicle. Didn't think I would qualify for a brand new car. Darrin showed me that I did. Terrible absolutely horrific experience. I was referred to these people because I was considering getting a new car. I told GARY several times that I could not afford a payment of 324. My payment on my cur to these people because I was considering getting a new car. I told GARY several times that I could not afford a payment of 324. My payment on my current car was 273 right now and I was comfortable with that. They insisted I take the 2014 chevy cruze home for the night, as if it would change what i could afford. I did it anyways and brought it back the next day and told them i wanted my car back i had a lot to do that day and i couldnt wait around. They left me in the waiting room for 20 minutes then asked me to look at another car. I said ok but im in a hurry. they showed me a 2012 cruze LTZ with 41,000 miles on it and they wanted 20,000 for it, but the paymet was 298. At that point i was so annoyed i said whatever lets do i got to go. After i switch my stuff over to the new used car i went back to the waiting room and was left there again for like 10 minutes which gave me time to realize that seemed like ALOT for a 2012 with close to 50,000 miles on it. I went back to Gary and said hey can you show me the blue book value and he immediately got offended. he said the 2014s go for 27,000... ookay but this is a 2012 and it has 41,000 miles on it. He started telling me all the features and i said yeah i dont care about any of that i just want to see the value of the car and he FLEW off the hinges... He said you know what im treating you like family (whatever that means?) and you are just not appriciating anything and i said you know what your right so hers your key back and ill take mine and ill get out of here and he said yeah i think thats a good idea!!!! and then he said GET THIS GIRL OUT OF MY OFFICE... no need i was leaving anyways...then he had one of his girl menions bring my car around and switch the plates back and she was cursing under her breath and i was done! NEVER again will i shop there and i will NEVER refer anyone to them. Terrible Terrible Terrible. Cant even ask to be shown the value of the car without getting kicked out. More
Steve was an absolute pleasure with whom to work. Steve helped us compare several different makes and models, both new and used, and was very attentive to what we said we wanted and what we needed, as well helped us compare several different makes and models, both new and used, and was very attentive to what we said we wanted and what we needed, as well as our reactions to different vehicles we examined. Ultimately, we narrowed it down to two models, and could have flipped a coin to determine which was the right one for us. We purchased a used GMC Terrain AWD and are absolutely happy with it. It had all of the features we wanted, including the extras we ordered through Steve as part of the purchase (roof rack cross rails and back storage cover). One of the things Steve and the dealership did for us that went above and beyond was that they tried really hard to get a better interest rate than what I had from my credit union. The effort they put into getting me the best rate possible is the kind of experience you want to have. Although they did not beat the rate I had obtained, they were within half a percentage point of what my credit union gave me. This is my third purchase from Jake Sweeney Chevrolet, and if any dealership was going to be your dealer for life, this would be the one for me. I have had three outstanding experiences with Jake Sweeney, and would recommend them to anyone. More
I was in the market for a Chevrolet Equinox, downsizing from a very large SUV. I shopped around at other Chevrolet dealerships in Cincinnati before finally making my way to Jake Sweeney. I was very satisfied with the customer service presented by Don Smith. He was very cordial, friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. Ultimately, it was Don's professionalism and customer service that won me over and led me to make my purchase at Jake Sweeney. Jay Wagstaff was also very helpful, friendly, and seemed genuinely sincere in his efforts to make my car-buying experience as pleasant, smooth, and successful as possible. I am very grateful Jay was passing by as I walked through the doors of Jake Sweeney. The teamwork between the car sales persons (Don Smith), the managers (Jay Wagstaff), and the finance department (Michael Fields and Jessica?) was remarkable. The folks at Jake Sweeney clearly understand "customer service". That is very important to me. I would definitely return to Jake Sweeney if I'm ever in the market for another new car. I highly recommend others go in and make their purchase there as well! Or, if you simply need to refinance, they can do that too! My parents are heading in to be refinanced today! Happy Car Shopping! The dealership advertised prices with requirements that those whom meet them would NEVER consider those vehicles. They requested I tried to qualify for a new vehicle, knowing the payment range I was trying those whom meet them would NEVER consider those vehicles. They requested I tried to qualify for a new vehicle, knowing the payment range I was trying to maintain, then tied my time up for several hours to prevent my shopping at other dealerships. In what seemed to be an honest attempt to reach my budget the figures on a used vehicle were higher than the new car. Their response to that situation was to pass me to another "sister company" in which after explaining my experience, they offered an ongoing theme this would rebuild my credit, and companies who would deal with me the transaction would not affect my credit score. After insisting I am responsible enough to be aware of my budget constraints that taking their offer would only harm my credit score they realized I was not susceptible to this tactic. I never saw the original vehicle I approached them about, the prices for the offers were never discussed, and the results in which they referenced were never displayed. I was prepared to purchase a vehicle with reasonable income and history, and no one at the facility was capable of presenting a mutually agreeable presentation involving any of their supposed vast quantity of products to choose from. More
