Worst dealership experience ever! ! I bought a “certified” used car and all I got was a certified piece of xxxx. The car has been in service 6 times in 12 months and now I’m trying to ! Not even worried about trying to make things right. Bad customer service. Also once you buy the car from them they don’t give a xxxx about you once you leave the lot. Worst experience i've ever encountered with a dealership. I went in on a Saturday around 4pm, I get it the office closed at 6. I talked with a sales rep for 45 min on price and they took my keys to value my I went in on a Saturday around 4pm, I get it the office closed at 6. I talked with a sales rep for 45 min on price and they took my keys to value my trade in (21 WRX STI, highly sought after vehicle). After low balling the trade at 32.5k and then asking me MSRP for a 2022 Trail Boss that was a year old, new models are already out. The sales manager came over and quoted my the internet discount price and was only asking for what I wanted my payment to be. I said whats the price of my vehicle and what are you valuing my trade at? No answer told him i wanted to be in or around $775-825 a month. They left, the sales rep came back and said we had a deal. Not knowing the payment or price was a mistake on me. I get home and they made the deal at MSRP (again I signed on the line with the discounted price 1,600 off so not a major decrease but felt better about it at the time) and on my trade 35K. Still don't know my payment, i go back today to pay my cashdown and am hoping for more clearlitied on payment and details. Would not recommend using this dealership and there are many Chevrolet dealers in the tristate area, avoid at all cost this one. I've reached out to Dwayne Pullman from our local news team so we can create more awareness about the dealership and not honoring their listed internet prices. More
Purchased a car 1/12/23 9 days later it caught on fire. I was told from fire department and the police officer on the scene that there was no way that car should have left the dealership. I contacted Jake Sweeney and they basically in so many word have told me it’s not their problem. Again, I’ve only had the car a little over a week. My brother who has 20+ years in the business told them in situations like this they could do a collateral switch. They told us that it’s no longer their issue and to contact the finance company. Then after everyone passing the buck and ignoring calls we had to show up on 3 occasions to speak with someone and still got the run around. Finally one of the managers decided to contact enterprise to provide us with a rental and that they said they would take care of the bill. Well that didn’t work out either. I was told by enterprise that #1 they didn’t have anything available but that I would also have to pay and have Jake Sweeney reimburse me and this is because they’ve had issues with Jake Sweeney Chevrolet paying their bill. Then I was told that Hertz had something for me I just needed to pick it up. My brother called to make sure everything was taken care of on Jake Sweeney’s part but guess what, Hertz stated they never received a phone call regarding the situation. This entire situation has been a nightmare. I helped my son purchase this vehicle to get back and forth to work so he can provide for his 2 month old daughter. THANK GOD he had just dropped her off to me before this incident occurred. Now not only is my son out of money from this bad deal but he is now without a car. After speaking with the insurance company I was told by them, that the vehicle has 2 open recalls on it that should have been caught by the dealership. This entire time going back and forth with the dealership all we heard from them was our service department did a thorough inspection. My brother again had to go to the dealership and this time spoke to the general manager. My brother told him about the recalls and the GM told him that there are no recalls on the vehicle and everything came back clean. I have 2 emails from 2 claims adjusters with the documentation stating the recalls. So now not only have they taken our money, they have been rude, inconsiderate, inhumane, liars, and there has been no remorse shown. All we want is for Jake Sweeney Chevrolet on Kemper Rd to right their wrong. Something that should have been a happy and exciting moment for my son has turned into a nightmare. Also, because of this situation he can’t go get another car until this process is cleared up. Where is the customer service and valuing your customer in this situation? I want answers and I will keep going and keep posting and doing whatever needs to be done until Jake Sweeney Chevrolet makes this right. While they made money off a deal that should have never happened with that vehicle my son is the one suffering and paying the price. Shame on you Jake Sweeney Chevrolet and all of the staff members who are involved. These are not my words but sometimes you have to put yourself in the customer’s shoes.
