new truck I found the truck on line, I stopped in to see the truck and test drive it, I came back the next day to purchase the truck. Very pleasant experience, car buying done well. I had a very nice experience with Jake Sweeney Chevrolet. Admittedly, I have never enjoyed purchasing vehicles, for many of the typical reasons. I som I had a very nice experience with Jake Sweeney Chevrolet. Admittedly, I have never enjoyed purchasing vehicles, for many of the typical reasons. I somewhat expected this experience going in to be more of the same, possibly further exacerbated by my short time-frame that I had to conduct the purchase. I would give my overall experience with Jake Sweeney Chevrolet a grade of 95%. The only ding I would note, is their policy to charge $300 for protective paint while sitting on their lot, which appears to be standard for all contracts. I have no problem with that being apart of the price, but it shouldn't be an additional line-item that is non-negotiable, as it is a cost of doing business. I do not expect to pay for the gates that are used to protect the vehicles while they own them, nor do I expect to pay for protective paint. A small consideration for an overall very pleasant experience, just a note for management. Specifically in terms of my actual experience. I was very pleasantly surprised after meeting with Dan Hawkins. Dan was incredibly friendly, open and seemed to be there to make my experience as seamless and enjoyable as possible. Dan responded very quickly to my inquiry. He was actually first of 2. If he had waited another 15 minutes, I would have ended up going to another dealership, but he was very responsive, which got me in the door. Further, Dan worked hard to ensure we could conduct business on my time-schedule, which I can say confidently, was the difference between me making the purchase and not. Dan's customer centric approach and friendliness, along with his desire to find a middle ground where both parties would be happy ultimately was the deciding factor. Dan made the difference here, and I'm very appreciative for it. I ended up with the vehicle I wanted, at a fair price, and I left feeling very satisfied. More
