We purchased a used car for my daughter. Unfortunately, we are out of state so we needed it to be delivered. For a "small" fee of $800 they would deliver it, but of course it ended up being almost $850 since instead of a separate line item it was added to the cost of the car, which you guessed it gets taxes taken out. When we were looking at the vehicle, I made it abundantly clear that we did not want a smoked in vehicle since I am highly allergic to the smell of cigarette smoke. We were assured that it did not have a smell and a video of the vehicle was taken. The delivery driver drove the vehicle from Cincinnati all the way to Virginia by the car itself. Adding miles instead of actually putting it on a flatbed truck like every other delivery service I've ever dealt with before. I never got in my daughter's vehicle until about 5/6.days later when I smelt the cigarette smoke. She stated that she smelt something, but didn't know what it was. I even saw all the cigarette ashes on the center console where we assume someone put their hand while holding the cigarette. Contacted them and the text was a too bad so sad message because the delivery driver just doesn't smoke, and well since it's been soooo long since they delivered the vehicle then it was another story. The veiled accusation that it was us was totally uncalled for since I told her that we couldn't have a smoked in car at least 10 times. Oh and then she added the stop messages button just in case I wanted to pound sand. This was never in any of the messages from earlier, and it took weeks to get this deal completed. So stay away unless you absolutely need to get a vehicle desperately and don't mind the unprofessionalism. More
I had a scheduled appointment for a RECALL on Monday, service called and said they couldn't even look at it until Wednesday? I asked for a loaner or rental and was told we don't do that. Called about a ‘23 Colorado they had in coming. Truck was still available. Great! I want to put a deposit. “Oh, well just so you know there’s a $2500 ADM on it because they’re hard to find” also Truck was still available. Great! I didn’t ask how much they were going to charge for something I didn’t even want. But I can assume it was going to be some outrageous price so they could make more money. As if the prices of vehicles and interest rates haven’t sky rocketed enough you still have dealers charging over MSRP and doing shady things. Really putting the customer first. I’ll never not leave reviews for dealers like this. Guess it’s too much to ask for a dealer to be fair & honest now days. More

This dealership refused an employee discount on a 2023 Chevy Colorado. Stay away from this greedy dealership. And especially if your paying cash! My first time I had a problem with my used Equinox was when changing a flat for the spare I noticed the rubber sleeve on the end of the shock was worn. I googled how to replace this rubber sleeve and the when changing a flat for the spare I noticed the rubber sleeve on the end of the shock was worn. I googled how to replace this rubber sleeve and the cost of parts was under $50. When I got it to the dealership to replace the tire, I informed the service department about the worn sleeve. In a few minutes, I was handed an estimate in excess of $1000 for completely new shocks. I immediately called xxxxxxxx and called up the how-to repair videos I had viewed on youtube that had a half dozen videos showing how to do this repair yourself as well as being performed by professional mechanics. Faced with some facts, the repair was suddenly covered by warranty. To be honest, I no longer really trust the service department. It feels like an attempt to take advantage of me as a customer. If there wasn't a limited lifetime warranty on the engine and drive train I wouldn't be using them. I am not expecting any type of change from this service department as a result of this review, beyond a few sentences from the manager about "I am concerned about your review" I would love to be proven wrong. I hate having a poor relationship with a dealership that I must use to maintain my warranty. As it stands, the likelihood of me purchasing another vehicle from any Jake Sweeney is slim to none. More
