My experience at Land Rover Bethesda was nothing short of infuriating, and I would strongly advise anyone considering this dealership to stay far away. The finance team here operates with dishonesty and zero infuriating, and I would strongly advise anyone considering this dealership to stay far away. The finance team here operates with dishonesty and zero respect for their customers. On my first visit, I was shown a 0.00269 money factor by the salesperson for a 2024 full size RR priced at 121K —this rate was confirmed on a sheet shared with me for the month of November for full size RR's. I also confirmed the rate with the bank and multiple other dealerships as standard for someone with a high credit score over 800, which I have. But when the lease sheet came back, the rate had been jacked up to 0.00319 without any explanation. When I questioned the bait-and-switch, the salesperson sat there speechless, seemingly caught off guard that I actually knew what I was talking about. The sales person then enticed me to another model in transit for 109k and said my payments would be much lower with the same money factor. Despite this red flag, I went back for a second visit, 4 days apart, thinking it might have been a misunderstanding and hoping to place a deposit on the car with a lower price. This time, they presented an even more outrageous offer and demanded an extra $5,000 on top of the MSRP and said the original 0.00269 money factor that they had initially quoted was a mistake. The sales person then brought in her manager Charles Holman and when I confronted him on this unethical price hike, he had the nerve to tell me there was “no point in discussing payments” since the car wasn’t even here yet, and openly admitted that the inflated rate was to “set expectations” for when the car arrived in December. In other words, they were preparing to gouge me later with zero room for negotiation. A point to note is that during my previous visit I was told that 6 months ago the dealerships were charging an extra 5-10k over MSRP so I was very lucky to have avoided the overcharge. To make matters worse, when my husband accidentally referred to him as “Chris” instead of Charles, he laughed condescendingly and walked off leaving us sitting there. His behavior was outrageously disrespectful and unprofessional. Land Rover Bethesda is a place of blatant dishonesty, manipulation, and a total lack of customer respect. Please check your lease sheet before signing off and always ask for the interest rate. You have the right to know what you are paying for. If you’re considering a Land Rover, go anywhere else. This dealership will only waste your time, insult you, and try to exploit you at every turn. Don’t let them take advantage of you—take your business to a dealership that respects its customers. More

I visited Land Rover of Bethesda to have my Volvo appraised and to explore a used Cadillac I was interested in. After driving 90 minutes and receiving multiple emails from the dealership regarding a appraised and to explore a used Cadillac I was interested in. After driving 90 minutes and receiving multiple emails from the dealership regarding a cash offer for my vehicle, I was eager for an in-person inspection. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a sales representative, though I did not catch his name as I had not intended to return. During our conversation, I learned that the representative I had been corresponding with was no longer with the dealership. Additionally, I was informed that they could not appraise my vehicle because the title was in my mother's name, which necessitated her presence. I was surprised to find that I needed to provide further documentation, including the physical title, before they could evaluate my car. Moreover, when I requested directions to the restroom, the representative led us to his desk, handed me his card, and then proceeded to make a phone call, leaving us unattended. We eventually had to ask another employee for assistance in locating the facilities. Overall, I felt that my time was wasted, as the dealership did not communicate the requirements for the appraisal prior to my visit. Furthermore, the lack of professionalism and respect shown by the staff during my visit was disappointing, especially considering that all other dealerships I have worked with typically do not require such stringent documentation for a vehicle appraisal, nor treat me or other customers with such low regards. Avoid at all costs - please look past the "look at my new car" and clearly fake reviews. For example, check Yelp, the BBB, or any other source that is less likely to be manipulated. I have purchased two vehi car" and clearly fake reviews. For example, check Yelp, the BBB, or any other source that is less likely to be manipulated. I have purchased two vehicles and leased a vehicle from here and every experience has gotten progressively worse. I honestly couldn't understand how a "luxury" dealership could digress to be so poorly run until I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with the general manager Richard Grzesiak. I've never met someone so unreasonable and unhelpful in my life. I honestly cannot understand how someone with his attitude ended up in any management position. If he focused half of the energy that he does gaslighting customers to even trying to keep customers happy maybe this dealership could be half decent. It makes me sad that people have to work for him - I guess that is why none of the good employees stay and only bad ones remain. Here are a few of many examples: During my most recent purchase - there was the usual aggressive upsell of extended warranties (which as you'll see below are not worth the paper they are printed on because the service department is so bad). Then they failed to close-out my lease on my trade-in, so I have to fight tooth and nail months after they have taken in my leased vehicle to close out the account so that I'm not making payments on the vehicle - but don't worry, it was already posted for sale on their website days after they took possession. I went through three temporary tags because my tags keep expiring while I waited for my permanent tags. Again, I had to constantly nag, complain, and ask for updates. If I hadn't constantly nagged them I would still be on my first set of expired tags. Now to the service department, where things get even worse (somehow). During the test drive I point out an issue and of course they guarantee they will fix it. I move forward with the purchase. I drop the vehicle off a few weeks after to fix the issue and they keep it for 8-weeks without any status updates. I leave countless voicemails and leave messages with the receptionist without any call-backs - I literally cannot get ahold of anyone besides the receptionist so I have to physically show up at the dealership. At that point they tell me they cannot reproduce the issue (that is what it took them 8-weeks to do). I go for a drive and surprise, the issue is still there (I already saw on the app that for the 8-weeks they had my car it was moved once and not actually driven). So I leave again and another 4-weeks pass. Again, I cannot get anyone besides the receptionist to pick up the phone or call me back. I physically show up (again) and they tell me it is "finished." Within 1-minute of driving off the lot the same issue is there. When I text/call the service advisor - no response. This issue remained unresolved until I took it to a private land rover repair shop. They had it fixed within 3 hours while I waited. It appears that the service department just assumes that if they keep your car long enough without actually doing anything you will just want your car back. Ironically, they constantly complain about not having loaners - well if you didn't ghost your customers for months and actually attempted a fix in the promised timeframe you would have loaners! Several weeks later a check engine light comes on - after months of trying to get scheduled and get a loaner (because they never have loaners). They do the same thing. Weeks go by, no calls, no status updates. 5-weeks later I get a call back and they say they have fixed it. I come to pick up the car, and they haven't even cleared the check engine light. when I get home I notice that half of the panels they removed were not installed properly - mind you this was a 3K repair billed under warranty by a "master technician." When, I contacted them to point out the issue - the usual no response and ignoring of all calls/texts. Beware - this place is an absolute nightmare More
