Unnecessary "repairs". My wife brought her 2019 Range Rover Sport in for the 70K mi service. For context, this Range Rover lives in a garage and is only driven on highway My wife brought her 2019 Range Rover Sport in for the 70K mi service. For context, this Range Rover lives in a garage and is only driven on highways. The service department recommended to her to replace the front lower control arms due to cracks in the bushings. She accepted without checking with me. Of course, this was the first thing they worked on and when I called at 7:50 this morning to tell them not to do the service, they had already removed them and said we were already responsible for the labor. I had them save the supposed bad parts so I could look at them after work. To be fair, there is some small bit of crazing at the surface of a really thick piece of rubber. No play in the bushing. No uneven wear on the tires. No noises in the suspension. They had a chance to offer a reasonable explanation, but chose to simply say this busing would eventually wear out and ... (vague). This was the service department purely taking advantage of a naive customer and making a completely unnecessary repair to the tune of $2,200. I have zero trust in their service department. Anyone considering service here should be aware that they will unnecessarily replace expensive parts and take advantage of the busy or un-saavy car owner. I hope this kind of practice catches up to you. We are a part of the Tulsa community that can afford a Range Rover and you can be sure we will spread word of this shameful practice. More
