Hi Justin, thank you for your post. While we always appreciate feedback, we’d like to clarify and address some of the points you made. Your vehicle is a 2014 with well over 100,000 miles, has never been in our Service Department before, and wasn’t purchased from us. When your vehicle arrived, it was misfiring, leaking coolant, and only had 2.5 quarts of oil in the motor. We advised you that with this many significant issues, one repair could easily lead to the discovery of other issues and further repair costs. When you dropped your car off, we explained the diagnostic fee and maintenance pricing, which is what you were charged for. We provided you with a full diagnostic report and you chose not to have the vehicle repaired with us, which is clearly your right, but please don’t disparage us because you feel the cost of repairs were too high. We also disclosed, in writing, the severity of the issues and that driving the vehicle in its current condition is unsafe and could cause catastrophic damage to the motor. As to the repair expense, we have factory certified technicians and only use factory parts, so we will naturally have a higher cost of repairs than independent repair facilities that aren’t factory certified and can use aftermarket parts.
