My advisor is very nice and helpful, but I think he works under pressure to produce. Taking him up on the offer, when I experienced an unusual crackling noise while accelerating, I took the car in to be looked at under warranty. It turned out to be nothing that required repair. But I was asked to pay for the inspection! When I refreshed his memory about our earlier conversation, he said I needed to pay for something, so he charged me $250 for a software update (which was unnecessary and did nothing at all for the issue I had or otherwise!) So now I’m weary of taking my car there, and I’m considering other options next time something comes up. More
