Disappointed I will start off by saying we have always had 5-star service at the Rover dealership. The friendliness of the staff and quality of the service is excellent. We live about 3 l/2 hours away from Minneapolis and have always made this a 2-day "event." We come down on Friday and spend the night and return home the next day. On a Friday late May, we had an appointment at 8 a.m., so got an early start to arrive at the dealership before then. We were given a great loaner vehicle, which is always the case, and we went about our day. We normally get a call late morning to inform us of the work needed to be done and give the okay. It wasn't until mid-afternoon that we got a call and were told that they needed to order parts and the work wouldn't be done by Saturday and we would have to come back to pick up the car Monday or Tuesday. We would have preferred to be able to take it home and alleviate the need for a second trip, but we headed home with the loaner on Saturday, understanding that things like that can happen. We got a call on Monday that it would be ready to pick up that day or Tuesday. My husband then needed to be down there before closing on Tuesday, so cancelled patients from 3 o'clock on and was down there before closing time. He took care of business and drove off. Before leaving the parking lot, the same alert light that brought us down was back. He went to get gas, hoping it was a fluke, but then had to return, still before 7, to the dealer. He was told he would need to leave it and was given another loaner. He then headed home and arrived about 10:30, a long 15-hour day for him. The work was completed and he drove back down on Saturday (his birthday) leaving at 6 a.m. so he could be home at a reasonable time. We felt that this situation could have been handled better, perhaps delivering the Rover on the third trip or some other possibility. We will continue to have our Rover serviced at the dealership and hope that if something similar should happen to us to another vehicle owner, that it will be handled in a more satisfactory way. More

When I arrived for my appointment 5 minutes early I was fretted by a friendly representative. He escorted me to the waiting area and explained the gentleman handling the paper work for me was with a customer and would be right with me. The wait was not long and the next representative was also friendly. After going over my concerns with the vehicle, I was told there would not be enough time to service all that may need to be done as I was due for a 60,000 mile maintenance repair service. I only scheduled coolant service and oil change. I was told they would give me recommendations once vehicle was looked over. Once my vehicle was ready, the friendly cashier came to get me. My only dissatisfaction is no one personally explained the recommendations. I did find them in small print on the receipt. I would've rated it ca 3.5, but there is no option so I rated a 3 due to cost and neglect of personal recommendations. More

Nothing that was UN-fixable. i have purchased cars in the past that I have had warranties on a much less of a car. Every time I ever had a problem at any other dealership I was just stunned by the was they can word things into a warranty to gouge money from a customer. I thought this until I met Steve the Service Mgr at Jaguar and Range rover dealership in Mpls. He many time went out of his way for my car to be done right and fully covered under the Warranty. He was told that a certain part was NOT covered and it would cost me $900 to fix. Steve made a case to the Warranty Company to that this particular part was made out of the same materials that other covered parts were made out of and should be covered. Steve made the case clear,educated the warranty people and had my car covered 100%. He could have only had done this with KNOWING his job. The fact that he went the extra mile and researched this to save me $900 was outstanding and truly made my day. He has single handedly built must trust and restored my faith that there are still good people out there. Sincerely Brad Kohler More

The same salesman, Leo Starr, talked with me, gave me a test drive, and got the car I wanted shipped from Chicago. I could not have asked for a better experience. The car is fantastic and the people were great to talk to. I look forward to doing more business with Jaguar. More

Since we live a fair distance away, he always makes sure that all of our service needs can be taken care of in the least amount of time and preferably on Saturdays when possible.
