I had been working with a salesman for several days and I had been working with a salesman for several days and had told them that I wanted to purchase a particular CPO Discovery. I offered a deposit, but I had been working with a salesman for several days and had told them that I wanted to purchase a particular CPO Discovery. I offered a deposit, but I was informed that they do not take deposits but they would not sell it out from under me. Since I am out of state, I had to make payment and travel arrangements. As I was making plane reservations, I received a call from the salesman to let me know that management was not sure if they would sell the car to me since someone local had expressed interest. I was told that they would call me back in a few hours and let me know if the local buyer decided to buy the car. If not, I may be allowed to buy the car. Other reviews have indicated that they don’t like out-of-state buyers, and that seems to be true. At least I had not wasted a plane trip. They seriously expected me to climb on a plane, fly to California, and hope that it was still available when I arrived. Salesman was nice all the way through - can't this dealership can’t be trusted.
