First car experience was perfect! I went in with two print outs, one of a camry and one of a corolla. I was immediately greeted by a salesman who welcomed me and we got down to busines I went in with two print outs, one of a camry and one of a corolla. I was immediately greeted by a salesman who welcomed me and we got down to business. Everyone there was friendly, helpful, and did everything they could to help and accommodate me. I test drove both vehicles I was looking at, and my salesman was very knowledgeable about the different features and attributes of each car. When it came down to the numbers, I was told exactly what and why. This was my first car shopping experience, and having my salesman and the manager explain every detail to me was very helpful. I highly recommend this dealership to other first time buyers, as well as anyone looking to buy or finance a car. The service was phenomenal. More

Now I am very happy with over all experience with him. He is very honest and a great guy. Being an old woman I was afraid to go alone for car shopping. But Ricky changed my thinking. Disappointing Service and Response I recently bought a 2018 Toyota Tacoma from Jaffarian and was bringing it in for my first 5000 mile oil change. At least, that was my understanding wh I recently bought a 2018 Toyota Tacoma from Jaffarian and was bringing it in for my first 5000 mile oil change. At least, that was my understanding when I bought the car with the extended warranty was that oil changes would be done every 5000 miles with the extended service plan. Shame on me, I did not read the fine print, and it was supposed to be every 10,000 miles. When I both made the appointment, and then brought it in, I said I am here for the 5000 mile oil change. No one told me that the oil would not be changed at 5000 miles. (I feel very strongly the the first oil change should be done between 2,500 -5,000 miles for break in). If they had made me aware then that it was supposed to be changed at 10,000 miles, I would've paid to have it done anyway at 5,000. Two hours later I got my truck back. When I got home, I looked at the bill and realized they had not done the oil change. The next morning I called back and asked why. They informed me that Toyota feels that with Synthetic oil it only needs to be changed every 10,000 miles. I understand and respect that, I just wish I had been told during the service (I mentioned it twice) that it would not be done. So I made another appointment for 3:30pm that evening to have it done. A woman called me mid day and asked if I was pleased with my service the previous night. I said no, and explained that if they told me the oil wouldn't be changed I would've paid for it. She said she would have the service supervisor call me. I never received a call. I showed up at 3:30 PM to have the oil changed. They informed me it would be a two hour wait, I said I called ahead that morning and made an appointment– why would it be a 2 Hour wait? They said they would get it done as fast as they could but it still took an hour and 10 minutes. When I got the bill, I was charge $70.20 for the oil change. My previous car was a Honda, and my oil changes at Commonwealth were $44. I called Portsmouth Toyota, and they told me an oil change on a 2018 Toyota Tacoma would be $48. I was really disappointed by the whole experience. It took them two hours the first time to basically just inspect the truck and fill my windshield washer fluid. I had to waste another couple hours the next day getting the oil changed which could've been avoided if they had just told me it wasn't included in the 5000 mile service. I wrote to the owner, Gary Jaffarian, and let him know I wasn't happy. If I were him I would want to know and try and correct it. He said he would get back to me in a day or two, it's been 3 weeks and I still haven't heard back. Just disappointed by the whole experience. And considering the price difference, I will get my oil changed in Portsmouth from now on. More
