Purchased a new to us 2014 Jeep Wrangler. Beautiful vehicle. Awesome experience with our sales guy Jimmy who shared stories and generally made us laugh. He had a tough audience, as we had driven over 2 vehicle. Awesome experience with our sales guy Jimmy who shared stories and generally made us laugh. He had a tough audience, as we had driven over 2 hours from Jacksonville and were 3rd in line for finance. Finance was awesome and easily one of the best Finance guys we have ever encountered. So - what happened? As we left the dealership, we started hearing an odd noise frorm the back. After stoping several times we isolated it. The spare tires weight, when hitting depreessions in the road, would cause rear door to buckle. On top of that, the tachometer stopped working. We turned right around and headed back. Jimmy told us to come back after Thanksgiving. Now we face a four and a half hour drive to hopefullly get things right. My research shows the spare tire needs a beefier mount that rests the tires weight on the hinges and then suported by the door itself, which means adding a new carrier. We have placed the tire in the back of the jeep and will likely be moving it depending and what solution the dealership can come up with. In summary, we had a 5 star experience that was hampered by those issues. I hated making this a 2 star review but after we took the tire off, we noticed some potential damage from leaving it on as suggested by the dealership. I will be posting an update once we return later this week. I am hoping to flip this review or add a review of a 5 star experience. More
