I found a car online and travelled to Jack Giambalvo Buick GMC with the intent to purchase even though it is over one hundred miles from my residence. I noticed on the vehicle I was interested in there Buick GMC with the intent to purchase even though it is over one hundred miles from my residence. I noticed on the vehicle I was interested in there was dried road paint spatter on the lower driver side. I made my sales rep aware of it and was told that if I purchased the car it would be removed before I left. It was getting dark when I left so I wasn't able to examine the car as carefully as I would have liked but it looked okay so I drove the two and a half hours home. The next day I found more paint spatter on the underside of the plastic trim that took me three hours to remove. Scraping road paint is a lot more difficult off of plastic than it is off of painted metal. I also saw that the liners of both wheel wells were coated with same dried road paint. This I could not remove so I called the dealer to complain. I was told that I would be contacted back but no one ever called so after a week I called them. I talked with Dan Troutman and explained my situation. He was very understanding and told me he would try to resolve the situation. I told him how far away I lived and that I would be unwilling to travel the distance back to the dealership for service work. He said that he would see what he could do. He called back within the hour and left a voice mail stating that his General Manager would be willing to replace the liners but only if I travelled back to the dealership, a total five hour trip of over two hundred miles. I don't see why I should incur the cost of gas and tolls, not to mention putting the extra miles on my "new" car and wasting an entire day of my time for Jack Giambalvo Buick GMC to correct a problem that should have been resolved well before I even drove out there to purchase one of their vehicles. And if I'm speaking truthfully, I can't help but think that they so readily offered to replace my wheel well liners because I told them beforehand that I would be unwilling to make the long journey back to their dealership. I ran into a curb with my car doing damage only to the suspension,no body damage. I had it towed to Giambalvo dealership for the necessary repairs. I don't usually leave reviews- this dealership has been avoiding my calls. I bought a new Yukon Denali the end of December, now we are at the end of July. I was told they would fix my Yukon by calling a local dealership in my area so I could take it to get fixed. I have noticed paint defects along with other issues with my Yukon since purchasing. I noticed some paint defects before even pulling it off their lot so they were aware of the issue! oh and on top of this the cargo mats I ordered come scratched up and scuffed… even though they didn’t budge a penny on my new Yukon, I paid full price for this vehicle and them being so cheap they couldn’t even throw in floor mats that were scuffed up… I showed my sales rep the floor mats and her response was we can take them off if you don’t want them… More
