The car lease for our Kia Optima with Jack Daniels Kia is up next month and my husband and I had been getting calls from Jack Daniels Kia salespeople The car lease for our Kia Optima with Jack Daniels Kia is up next month and my husband and I had been getting calls from Jack Daniels Kia salespeople asking if we were interested in getting a new lease. We declined but the salespeople continued to call us back several times trying to push us to lease another car. We asked what to do to turn in our car and they told us to get an inspection done by a third party before turning it in. We wanted to make sure we didn’t miss any details on returning the car, so we called Kia’s Lease End Service (Kia corporate) and they said an inspection was not required before turning the car in. We went to Jack Daniels Kia to return the car, but the salesperson (Karim) refused, stating that we needed to have an inspection done. When I stated I wanted to leave the car, the General Manager (Renier Basulto) stated that he’d consider the car as abandoned. Mind you the General Manager opted to leave the dealership and speak by phone for all this rather than speak in person. I was so upset and humiliated that I had to leave the building. We then called nearby Fette Kia and asked if we could turn in our car to them as we were about 10 minutes away. The salesperson said “No problem, I’ll take care of you.” We went to Fette Kia and they said they’d take care of the inspection. The whole process took less than 5 minutes. It was wonderful for Fette Kia to show us kindness and respect even though we were not previous customers. What a difference from one dealer to another... More
