A friend who works at this dealership recommended that we travel here for my daughter to purchase her first new car. We called and spoke to a salesperson, Henry, and gave all of my daughters information for travel here for my daughter to purchase her first new car. We called and spoke to a salesperson, Henry, and gave all of my daughters information for a credit check. Henry stated that she was approved for a car loan with $1,000. downpayment. We gave the information a week before we wennt to dealership. when we arrived and met with Henry, she picked out a Kia Rio, basic model, Gave him the $1,000 cash and he gave her the key to the car to hold. They pulled the car in for detailing and gave my daughter the window sticker to call the insurance, which we did. We were given a price and monthly payment for the car. We were brought to a sitting area to wait for the final paperwork being told that the finance man was busy with another customer. Another man came over and told us that he would be showing us everything on the car and we could call him at any time. After waiting over an hour and a half, we started to get immpatient, because my daughter had to go to work. We asked if there was a problem and were immediately told no that the finance man was still busy with a customer. After 2 hours we were ready to leave and asked if we should come back another day. In a few minutes a women showed up from another one of there dealerships to work on the final paperwork. Within 15 minutes she came back to us and informed us that the loan was not approved and I should cosign for her which is not an option. We asked for her money back and was told that it was locked in a safe, so we would have to wait or we could take a check. We insisted on getting the cash back and then after 10 minutes of disputing to get our money back another man came and said that he worked on the loan and we were approved so they sent us back again to the fiance lady who sat us down and then stated we needed another $3,000. down. We immediately got up and demanded the money back. While we were waiting for the money - the staff was rude. The "manager" Marcos was blamming it on us stating that after all he is not a bank. Missing the point that supposedly the loan was pre approved a week ago and we sat for over 2 hours, changed the insurance to the new car and rudely did not want to give us our cash back. We did finally get our money back and purchased a beautiful new Nissan from a local dealer. This trip to Jack Daniels was a complete waste of time and utter frustration which I would never never recommed someone to purchase a car from this dealer, they have no idea what it is to treat a customer with respect More

They had plenty, in many colors, and I test drove it and liked it. A few days later we agreed on a price that seemed quite fair, as long as I came down that night to purchase. I show up and the suddenly only have ONE Kia Optima left, in silver, and I didn't want it. Then they told me to make a down payment and they'll order the color I want. After I decline to give them any money, they suggest I fill out an order form and they will get the car for me. They explained to me they could not order the car without this form/show of commitment from me to purchase the vehicle. Of course, I refuse to commit to any car without test driving and seeing the numbers all on paper, so I leave after they wasted my time. They didn't even shake my hand when I said no thank you. Suddenly I hear back from Areg within a week telling me, "We have your car". Apparently they got one in the color I wanted, and look at that, I didn't really have to sign some commitment/order form. So having agreed over the phone to the same price from before ($27,700 fully loaded-EX), it turns out the glove box doesn't completely close but they assure me I can bring it back Monday to be serviced and that it was very minor. It did look minor so I continued the process, this now being my 3rd trip there, I was willing to overlook this to finally purchase my new car. That's when the tricks began. They brought out a contract with the total price written down, and a higher monthly payment written. I point out that this is much higher than what the monthly payment should be, and they quickly go and change it without arguing. I guess they hoped I wouldn't notice, they didn't even try and explain how they got that number in the first place. Then I realized the contract is not detailed. some random numbers written in pen without explanation as to what they are. Then at the bottom I have to sign off on two INSANE points: 1. That I wave my rights to any laws protecting me such as the NJ Lemon Law and that if I have a dispute I cannot sue the dealership and ... 2. That this is a nonrefundable, no cancellation contract. All this was before we had financing approved officially! They told me that just to SPEAK to their finance guy I HAD to sign this contract first, which is ludicrous. They actually wanted me to feel sorry for their finance guy, saying, what if he checks my credit and fills out the paper work (a few minutes) and I ended up not buying the car? That's he job!!! For all I knew, I'd sign off all my rights and protections (crazy they ask their customers to do this in the first place) and then the finance guy would say I wasn't approved for the numbers we agreed to and suddenly I just got suckered int a deal several thousand dollars more. I immediately left and will never go back. Do not believe ANYTHING they tell you. I'd say beware financing through them and signing away your rights, but actually, don't even go there at all in the first place!!! TERRIBLE experience. They are looking for a sucker and lie every time their lips are moving. Don't deal with them. More
I sent a request through the jack daniels website and was contact back almost immediately by Joe from the internet department. He understood my needs and wants in my new vehicle and informed me that they di contact back almost immediately by Joe from the internet department. He understood my needs and wants in my new vehicle and informed me that they did not have that particular vehicle on the lot but it would not be a problem to get it in to make me happy. He gave me a price on the lease i was looking for from the mananger. it worked for me and the following week came to the dealership and Joe came out of the rear offic to introduce himself. His smile was so pleasant and so personable, he introducted me to Garrett and he was just the same. We discussed exactly what i was looking and once again the response was "no problem" and it wasnt. With no pressure to buy off the lot. Garrett showed me a similiar vehicle on the lot and went over all the features that would be in my vehicle. I completely understood everyting on my feature. I was so excited when i picked it up Garrett and Joe even left me some gifts on my front seat. I was so touched. I would suggest asking for Garrett when coming to Jack Daniels. Better than any other Kia dealership i entered in my search for my new Dark Cherry Kia Sorrento. The absolute best, best best..... thank you guys from Cindy W and Nick More
I started my search at this dealership 2 months ago but was not impressed with the fact that management did not wish to entertain my offer for cash on a 2012 Optima LX. I was contacted on March 9th by the Joe the internet salesperson that told me that the manager was ready to meet my offer but only for one select car on the lot. I asked if this is a scam to get me into the dealership and was assured that the deal was real. When I entered the dealership I asked Joe again if my offer would be honored and again was told that my price would be met. Upon seeing the salesman again I asked if my price would be meet and was told that it would. I test drove the car and we returned to complete the paperwork in the dealership. The salesmen Christhian Gutierrez took my documentation and left me for 45 minutes. Next the manager Alexis Montero sat down and told me that they could not sell the car for the price we had set. He offered some lame excuse, offered no apology for wasting 2 hours of my time. BAIT AND SWITCH /BEWARE OF THIS DEALERSHIP. It brings back the old joke // How do you know when a car salesman is lying? When he moves his lips! More

AREG, THE SALESMAN, WAS VERY HONORABLE. THE COST FOR MY KIA 2011 SUV WAS VERY GOOD, PROBABLY BECAUSE IT WAS A 2011 SHOWROOM TEST MODEL. I have had many bad experiences with dealers in the past and this purchase was as pleasant as could be. I was able to get a price I felt was fair with very little haggling and waiting for the sales rep to and this purchase was as pleasant as could be. I was able to get a price I felt was fair with very little haggling and waiting for the sales rep to walk back and forth to the sales manager behind the curtain. Areg, my sales associate, was able to find the car I wanted, as specified, within a week. The car even had some extras I didn't ask for, a roof rack, cargo net and trunk liner, included without increasing the negotiated price. The finance part of the transaction was painless, with none of those dreaded surprise monthly fee increases I've come accustomed to. Overall a very good experience for a very large purchase. More
We were very impressed with Areg. He took a great deal of time with us, over several visits, discussing the car and what we could expect. And, most important, he listened to what we were looking for, rather time with us, over several visits, discussing the car and what we could expect. And, most important, he listened to what we were looking for, rather than trying to sell us what he wanted us to have. He also had a most pleasant manner: low key, yet knowledgeable. He made the decision to buy a Kia easy, and the paperwork effortless. He was the exact opposite of what one thinks of when one thinks 'car salesman' -- yet, he made the sale! He also called us a few days later, to see how we liked the car: Very appreciated. If Areg is an example of the employees of JackDaniels Kia, we should be in good hands. More
A dealership is only as good as the people it employs. That's why I didn't purchase my new car at the Kia dealership located closest to my home. Instead, I went to Jack Daniels Kia in Fair Lawn. My That's why I didn't purchase my new car at the Kia dealership located closest to my home. Instead, I went to Jack Daniels Kia in Fair Lawn. My salesperson, Cristhian, was respectful and professional throughout our negotiation process. I appreciated the demeanor of his manager, Marco, who was a gentleman. I was very impressed by Areg, a Sales Specialist, who enthusiastically assisted me in the absence of my salesperson on the day I received my new vehicle. Before I left, Areg sat with me in my car and explained all of my car’s features. Barbara, the dealership’s Business Manager, carefully explained options available to me, and took the time necessary to ensure that I saw these options on a personalized in-house tour. At this dealership, every employee I encountered made me feel welcomed. While there, I observed cooperative employees who shared information and helped one another. Being in this positive environment with friendly, accommodating personnel made my buying experience very enjoyable. Based on my own experience, I am pleased to highly recommend Jack Daniels Kia. More
The people working for this dealership have no respect for anyone. They don't call back for anything. We bought 2 kias in 1 day and it took us 6 1/2hours. I have bought cars before and no other dealership for anyone. They don't call back for anything. We bought 2 kias in 1 day and it took us 6 1/2hours. I have bought cars before and no other dealership made me wait as much. Then the following week we had to go back because they forgot to have us sign certain papers and if we didnt go back the same day they threatened to take our cars away. We spent another 3 hours at the dealership. The following week we went back to have remote starters installed in both of our cars and the same day they promised us to do an oil change for our sorrento and also take a look at the rim of our brand new Optima which they sold us with a damaged rim. When we returned to pick up our cars later on that evening Areg was no where to be found and the other employees informed me that they were not aware of the oil change or the problem with the rim. Areg never called back to apologize. I was forced to come back to the dealership the next week for the rim which they told me they cant help me I should make an appointment with the service center. I went to the service center where I was informed that it was not a manufactorers issue so I wasnt eligible for a rim change and that it was the jack daniels fairlawn dealerships fault. The people there probably scratched up the rim and tried to spray paint it. I once again returned to the dealership where I was told that in a few weeks or months or more someone will contact me to fix it. I demanded a new rim because I paid for a new car and asked to speak to the manager. Alexis Montero the manager was chewing gum in my face the whole time didnt even ask how he can help me instead said what do you want. We are doing you a favor by fixing your rim its your fault you should have checked your rims before purchasing your car its not my problem and both Areg and Alexis told me they dont want to deal with me and I should leave the dealership. I have never dealt with such rude people. Never go there unless you want to be yelled at. I am so dissapointed. Never shopping from them again. More
