I have listed Scott Penney by name as he was the salesman; however, I must say that EVERYONE in this place bent over backwards to help me with some extenuating circumstances. Not only did they give me a fair price on the old car I brought in and sold, but also they had someone else come in to try to get me even more money for it. They gave me the amount of cash I needed right away and applied the rest as down payment. Scott was so patient with me, even though I drove several cars. I had to leave for a meeting, and they suggested I drive one of the cars I was interested in and try it out for the day. Great plan--it's the one I ended up getting and I love it! I was constantly reassured by Scott and the managers that whatever I decided I wanted, they would find a way to make it work for me. As long as I live in New England, this will be my dealership. Five stars!! More

After wasting 4 hours of my life at two other dealerships just to get a whole lot of attitude and their "all-hands-in-offer" which equated to nothing less than MSRP minus an pathetic excuse for trade-in valu just to get a whole lot of attitude and their "all-hands-in-offer" which equated to nothing less than MSRP minus an pathetic excuse for trade-in value, let me just say... WHAT A REFRESHING CHANGE! From the moment I walked through the door, I was treated like a person not like chum in a shark tank. The entire buying experience was one of the best I've encountered. It was overall straight forward, to the point, and painless. My salesman was attentive to my needs/wants, informed about the product he was selling, and best of all came to the table with a reasonable price THE FIRST TIME. There was NO excessive back and forth or long waits while guys pretended to crunch numbers for "the best deal ever". There was none of that nonsense! Just a simple purchasing process. Two hours from start to finish. Next year, when we look to replace our other car. I will save myself the time and frustration and visit Southern Maine Motors in the first place. I can't recommend them enough!!! More

My husband commutes out of state, so the weekend hours are a huge benefit to us. As a middle aged couple, we have purchased many vehicles through the years. However, neither of us have ever experienced such a pleasant experience. A great value, a great team and a well running and clean vehicle! I like the way the service charges are posted on the board, there are coupons in the waiting area for common services. Everything was done in an honest, disclosed way and quickly. I can't wait to have the service dept. be my Chevy's caretaker starting next month! More

Being a single mom with 2 year old twins and a 4 year old and in the middle of an upsetting move, the last thing I needed was to deal with someone who was not sincere nor straight up. Along with the price of the vehicle, Scott is truly the reason I chose this dealership. The NH dealership (Port City) was not a comfortable atmosphere. Scott Penney was a great salesperson.
