I brought my vehicle here for service after getting the run around at another dealership. What a difference this dealers is. I am a self professed "Car Nut". I enjoy driving new vehicles. I have been buying new vehicles for my wife and myself every 2 or 3 years for about the past twenty years at Jolly John's ( no driving new vehicles. I have been buying new vehicles for my wife and myself every 2 or 3 years for about the past twenty years at Jolly John's ( now Southern Maine Motors). I was concerned about the transition, but find that I am dealing with most of the same folks as in the past. I am always (and still) treated with friendliness and respect. The deal is ALWAYS the best available. I have had other Dodge/Jeep dealers attempt to get my business, but Southern Maine Motors has beat them every time. I am glad that Southern Maine Motors has carried on all of the good things about Jolly John, while adding their own way of doing GOOD BUSINESS. Trust, respect and loyalty and of course price make the deal the best. More
Customer service was very good and the sales team was very accommodating, especially when considering the fact that our arrival was just prior to closing. The Salesman provided accurate information prior to our arrival and seemed forthright throughout the transaction. We were somewhat dismayed about the very late announcement of an unacceptably high interest rate since we had inquired about the rate multiple times prior to preparation of the paperwork package. The dealer did eventually arrive at a more reasonable interest rate but much of the last minute scrambling could have been avoided if the rate was revealed when we first asked about it (we had other finance options and had no need to accept the high rate that was first offered). There were errors in the paperwork package but those were readily corrected and the missing documents were mailed promptly. Overall, the attitude of the team members we dealt with was positive and the level of customer service was relatively good. Although there were "blemishes" in the transaction, we will consider this dealer again when buying our next vehicle. We also recommend this dealer over others in the area with which we have done business. More
I WAS JUST "LOT ROAMING" LAST WEEK AND JOSH CAME OUT TO TALK ME INTO BUYING!!! NOT HARD... AS THE NEW JEEPS ARE REALLY SOMETHING I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR SINCE THE REALLY UGLY DESIGN CHANGED IN CAME OUT TO TALK ME INTO BUYING!!! NOT HARD... AS THE NEW JEEPS ARE REALLY SOMETHING I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR SINCE THE REALLY UGLY DESIGN CHANGED IN 2005!!! WE TALKED TRADE-IN VALUE AND JOSH PROMISED A E-MAIL LATER IN THE DAY THAT WOULD GIVE US AN IDEA WHAT THE LEFTOVER 2011 G.C WOULD WIND UP COSTING . NEEDLESS TO SAY THE TRADE ALLOWANCE WAS NOT AS MUCH AS WE EXPECTED FOR OUR "PERFECT" 2004 SPECIAL EDITION G.C. I TOLD JOSH WE HATED HAGGLING AND "HE HAD TO DO BETTER AT WORKING HIS MAGIC ON THE FINAL PRICE. JOSH ASKED "WHAT FINAL PRICE WOULD MAKE US HAPPY"....(WE KNOW THERES GOT TO BE A PROFIT MARGIN FOR DEALERS ON THE TRADE...WE ASKED FOR THE WHOLESALE PRICE AS I COULD HAVE GOTTEN THAT OR MORE ON CRAIGSLIST..EASILY AND JOSH KNEW IT.) I TOLD JOSH ..OUR PRICE , HE MATCHED IT WITHIN $600 AND WE WERE DRIVING OUR NEW JEEP HOME BY 11 AM THE NEXT DAY. WHEN PICKING UP THE CAR SATURDAY MORNING JOSH MADE SURE WE WERE COMFORTABLE WITH ALL THE NEW IMPROVEMENTS AND OPTIONS. NO HIGH PRESSURE...EASY GOING ..AND A LIKABLE GUY MADE THIS EXPERIENCE WITH THE FORMER "JOLLY JOHN TEAM" VERY GOOD. LOVE THE VOICE COMMAND AND SERIUS RADIO AS MUCH AS THE KEYFOB /PUSH BUTTON START /STOP.......WHATS NOT TO LOVE ABOUT A NEW JEEP?? THIS CAR WAS A REAL DEAL ...AND THE DEALER GREAT!!! GO GET THAT NEW JEEP FROM JOSH RIGHT NOW!!! More
I was met at the door of the dealership by Josh and after I told him which vehicle I was interested in (from seeing it on their website), I was offered a test drive. I had a price in mind, and they came very close to meeting that price without putting too much pressure on me. The financing was fairly easy and again not alot of pressure to purchase the extras. I recently. visited Southern Maine Motors to purchase a 2011 Dodge Durango. I didn't know what to expect considering that I had never been to this dealership before. I must be completely honest with you...my experience buying a car at Southern Maine Motors exceeded every one of my expectations. For starters everyone I dealt with, especially Joshua Stevens, was straight forward and worked hard to make sure I that selected the right car and a price that we could both live with. Joshua clearly understood the car and patiently explained each of the cars functions. He even knew the important shortcuts, like how to connect my phone to the radio using Bluetooth!! In closing, I must say that I got the best car and the best deal. In short, I couldn't be happier!!! And I can say without hesitation that I will return to buy more cars in the future.
