Worst Car Buying Experience & Dealership Ever!!!! I decided to treat myself on my 50th birthday by buying my dream car, a yellow Corvette with a black convertible top. Buying my “Certified” 2011 Corve I decided to treat myself on my 50th birthday by buying my dream car, a yellow Corvette with a black convertible top. Buying my “Certified” 2011 Corvette convertible from Frank Galos Chevrolet Cadillac was the WORST car buying experience I have ever had. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, do not buy any type of vehicle from this dealership, especially a Certified vehicle. Certified means nothing to this dealership in my opinion. If one person reads about my horrible experience and does not buy a vehicle from this dealership, something good will have come from all that I went through. I was lied to by every person I encountered. From the very first phone call with salesman Jason Tesslee, I was lied to about the condition of the car. The general manager, Jim Allie, lied to me as well about the condition of the vehicle. Interesting how the last three letters in his last name spell LIE. And, the finance manager, Gary Pazmany, lied to me about what would be covered under the Certified Pre-Owned Warranty on the day I picked up the vehicle. I wish I would have walked away instead of purchasing the vehicle. I was assured by Lying Gary Pazmany that any problems with the vehicle could easily be taken care of at any Chevrolet dealership. I live near Pittsburgh and purchased the vehicle on April 16, 2016, and drove the car back home with my girlfriend. The first thing that caused concern for me was the email I received the next day from OnStar, saying the oil had only 25% life left in it. When I asked Jim AlLIE about this, he assured me the oil had been changed and the person changing it may have forgotten to reset things. Sounds like the service department is as good as the sales department. A few days after arriving home, I went to get the vehicle inspected. I was informed by the mechanic that the vehicle would not pass inspection because all four tires were old, unsafe, and dry rotted. He also said we were lucky the tires did not explode or come apart on our 700 mile ride home, which could have resulted in a terrible car accident. Buying a Certified vehicle with dangerous, old, dry rotted tires was the last thing I expected. I later determined that three of the four tires were over five years old. The “newest” tire was over three and a half years old. I inquired about the condition of the tires and Jason Tesslee told me they were fine. So, let’s change Jason’s last name to TessLIE. Oh, a great story about this guy. When he picked my girlfriend and myself up at the Portland airport, he forgot where he parked his vehicle. We wandered about the parking lot following him with our bags before he remembered he had parked in the garage. Upon leaving the parking garage, he informed us that he had forgotten his wallet and didn’t have the $2 to pay. So, we gave him the $2, which he never offered to pay back. Then on the ride back to the dealership, he got lost. I am not making this up. It really happened. Franks Galos Chevrolet Cadillac has a crack sales team in place there as well. I ended up purchasing four new tires and had them mounted, which costs over $1300, so the vehicle would pass Pennsylvania inspection. The Service Advisor at the dealership that mounted the new tires also said the tires were dangerous, old, and dry rotted, and we were lucky to have made it home safely. Also, he said the vehicle should not have been sold as Certified. I contacted Jim AlLIE. He said I should have contacted him first before I purchased the tires, as if that would have changed the fact that the tires weren’t dangerous, old, and dry rotted. He came up with some incoherent analogy about me taking money from his bank account without asking permission. Still trying to figure that one out. Eventually, he offered me an insulting $600, which I turned down. Before leaving the dealership on April 16, we discovered two wires that were not connected to the rear window defroster and the convertible hatch rubbed against the window upon opening and closing. Lying Gary Pazmany assured me it would be covered under the Certified warranty. Also, the emblem on the front of the car was faded, and Lying Gary Pazmany said I would be able to get that replaced for free. I went to another Chevrolet dealership to have these issues fixed. The problems were not covered under the Certified warranty like Lying Gary Pazmany had told me. So, that was another $452 out of my pocket. The Service Advisor at this Chevrolet dealership repeated what the Service Advisor at the first Chevrolet dealership said. The vehicle SHOULD NOT have been sold as Certified. I ending up filing a complaint with General Motors. I cannot say enough positive things about my experiences with the woman from General Motors. Sara was instrumental in helping me. After providing pictures of the dangerous, old, dry rotted tires, along with pictures of the four digit code on the side wall of the four tires that showed the age of each tire, receipts for work done at two Chevrolet dealerships, and a copy of the OnStar report showing the oil only had 25% life, General Motors reimbursed me $1641.80. They did not reimburse me for the new emblem or oil change, which I agreed to. I am extremely happy with how General Motors treated me, as opposed to the way I was treated by Frank Galos Chevrolet Cadillac. Frank Galos Chevrolet Cadillac is like the loser, slacker member of a large family that lives in his parent’s basement, and has to get bailed out by other family members when he gets into trouble. All I asked Jim AlLIE to do was pay for the news tires and costs associated with mounting them, along with work to the convertible top. General Motors told me Frank Galos Chevrolet Cadillac would not be participating in any reimbursement, which in my opinion show a total lack of integrity and extremely poor customer service. I would like to know how they can advertise and sell a car as Certifed Pre-Owned, when it clearly was not. Anyone reading this that might be considering purchasing a vehicle from Frank Galos Chevrolet Cadillac, please DO NOT. I would not want you to go through what I went through. I know I am fortunate that General Motors was generous enough to reimburse me. I fear others will not be so lucky. I only wish I would have read the many negative comments posted on Frank Galos Chevrolet Cadillac Facebook page prior to purchasing my vehicle. I would never had made the trip. More

They sold her a warranty, CLEARLY outlining the stipulations that need to be met in order to use the warranty. NOT ONLY was the car in desperate need of repair within the warranty period the company has REFUSED to honor their warranty. Of course Frank Galos Chevrolet & Cadillac have gotten paid. Residuals in their pocket and whatever else. It is horrible that we have to report them this way and the only response has been a request to take this down. BBB has been contacted. I am leaving this on every website I can. No one should spend their hard earned money here! More

My brother had purchased a 2012 Chevy Sonic and had nothing but good things to say about his experience with Jeff and the rest of the team. When my vehicle was totaled in a accident a week later I knew exactly where I was headed for an new one! Jeffrey Brown was our salesman and didn't make us feel pressured into anything we were uncomfortable with( a characteristic of a salesman that is appreciated and hard to find). We shared laughs througout the entire buying process, and he even left his home at dinner time to come and help us at the dealer. Gary Pazmany did a fabulous job sorting out all of the road blocks we encountered due to purchasing the vehicle in a different state than where it was bing registered & insured. I purchased a 2012 Chevy Cruze and could not be happier with the car! A big sincere thank you to Jeffrey, Gary, and the entire Frank Galos Chevrolet team! You have gained two life long customers! More
