I have been a customer of JT's Kia since I purchased my car brand new from there in 2012. I have no issues with the buying process, but the service department really makes me question why I continue to be car brand new from there in 2012. I have no issues with the buying process, but the service department really makes me question why I continue to be a customer and leaves me with such and undesirable feeling! Just picked up my vehicle today, August 13th, after I dropped it off 3 days ago. They told me in July my power steering system was failing (no specific part was given), so I had them replace the rack & pinion this week. I won't even get into the headache of ordering the part and the confusion I went through with parts saying one thing, service saying another. This is the 2nd time in 2 monts that I have picked up my car and found that ANOTHER issue with my car has occurred, that WAS NOT occurring the day I dropped it off for service!! Today my airbag light is on, it was NOT on Tuesday when I dropped it off. The very helpful technician notified it as he test drove my car for me. I'm told it's a clock mechanism or something behind the steering they can replace under warranty. Okay, soooo I now have to bring it in again? And be without my car for days, again? My only vehicle? Thankfully the shuttle driver Brent is awesome and picks me up when these issues happen. But this issue just happened as it was sitting for two days waiting on the ordered part?? Not only is the airbag light on, I just realized NOTHING on my steering wheel is working except the cruise control button!! The volume, mode, mute, phone buttons, AND HORN, aren't working at all! The horn? Tuesday, everything was working, 3 days later, broken? In June, after having it towed to JTs and leaving it for a week so they could "work it in," they replaced the starter (which I knew what it was), and tried to charge me 4 hours of labor cost for an hour job, thank God my friend was with me who works for a mechanic shop and knew the labor rate was asinine. The day I picked it up in June, I noticed a vibration as I was driving off the lot. Went back to JTs a day or so later, they stated my power steering assembly is failing....it was not vibrating the day before the starter died, but in their possession, now all of a sudden it's broken, too? I'm just sooooo over JT's Kia service and it's made me turn all thoughts away from ever purchasing another one, and I was shopping for a Telluride at one point! So now, another trip BACK to JTs Kia to wait on service or for them to work me in, or have me leave it and shuttle back & forth, or RENT a vehicle out of my own pocket because this is my only vehicle and most things take literally all day. I know this is some fault of theirs and something they had to have done while replacing the assembly. Another day or more with no car, long wait times, and after spending over $1500 in parts and labor in the last 2 months... Just great! 😤😡😩 More
Q, is an excellent sales person. He makes you feel very comfortable. I was there from beginning to end about 3 hours. That never happened to me, normally you will spend all day at a dealership.
