I would like to preface this review by stating that I waited to write this review until I wasn't so upset, in an effort to try to just stick to the facts and make the review as fair as possible. With that being said, this has sincerely been the most disappointing car buying experience we have ever had. our vehicle (a Ford truck) was purchased mid-September. Soon after purchasing the truck, a check engine light went off. To make the long story short, we went back and forth to the dealership (a 40-minute drive) about 6 or 7 times and each time we were told it was fixed but the light continued to come on. Finally, after expressing our frustration yet again, the truck was finally sent to Ford for further inspection. The truck spent over 3 weeks at Ford. That in itself is not the issue as we would rather it be there as long as it takes for the issue to be resolved rather than just being told it is fixed when that is actually not the case. The issue is that in that timeframe of the truck being serviced, not once did we receive an update without me calling to ask for one. We were certainly not expecting an update every day or even every other day, but when we are told 3 or 4 different times "it should be ready by 'xyz' date" and then that date passes and no news, I think it is fair that we are updated, especially if that is not the case and it is not ready. I do not believe we are asking for too much when we ask for the bare minimum communication. In addition to the check engine light issue, we requested that the unlock code for the door would be programmed while at Ford. I last spoke with someone on 11/10/20 who confirmed the code was added by Ford. Now today I am told by the sales individual we worked with that this is not the case and that we will need to be taking the truck back to Ford on Friday in order for this code to be programmed. The amount of miscommunication and lack thereof that has occurred beyond frustrating. I believe we have been very patient and understanding despite being told so many different things and not receiving updates that have been promised. I have talked to at least 5 or 6 different people between the sales and service team, including Managers. I would like to note that a few of those individuals have been more helpful than others. Rich and Jim in service have both been helpful as well as Tony and Joe, as they have each returned my calls promptly. Again, for any updates, though, I have always had to call, but regardless, I appreciate that they have at least returned my calls. As far as salesman that we purchased the vehicle from, I have given up on trying to get assistance from him as I have only received misinformation or simply no responses at all. I have called more times than I can count. Any time I call I can expect to be on hold for a while. On one occasion I held for almost 20 minutes before I hung up and just tried calling again. Again, I believe we have been incredibly patient (more than most would have been in this case) and we are not expecting anything unusual, we are asking for the bare minimum which is simply being updated and consistent information and not one person tell us one thing but then being told something else by another individual. We have just been informed yet again that the truck is ready for pickup and I truly hope the root issue has actually been resolved. The truck has been under repair for longer than we have actually had it, at this point. Given our experience, I would not feel comfortable referring any friends or family to JT's with the service being as it currently is. I hope there will be some improvements moving forward but at this time, we will not be returning for future purchases. More
The dealership always tries to make sure that all of my needs are seen to while servicing the Jeep. They always do a great job. Sometimes just dropping in for service ends up being quicker than scheduling for it. Also, depending who takes care of you, you might get a car wash before you leave. :) for service ends up being quicker than scheduling for it.
