JP Chevrolet is a phenominal dealership. Everyone there is very friendly and personable. I felt right at home! Roger Schultheis was my sales guy. He was the best car salesman I have ever had to deal wit is very friendly and personable. I felt right at home! Roger Schultheis was my sales guy. He was the best car salesman I have ever had to deal with. He was very patient with my indecisiveness. We test drove some vehicles. Then I found the perfect vehicle! Roger was absolutly, and still is, amazing through the entire process. He never pressured me to buy the vehicle. He gave me time to think about it. He showed me all of the ins and outs of my new ride I was purchasing. After I bought the vehicle, Roger said to call him and come to the dealer ship whenever for questions I may have about it. It was a great experience. I will never go anywhere else when purchasing a vehicle. JP makes sure that you find the perfect car for you. I highly recommend JP Chevrolet! More
I was not in the market to buy a different car, but went looking "just to see what's out there" I went to several local dealers. One place no one came out to see if I needed help. One dealer walked away whe looking "just to see what's out there" I went to several local dealers. One place no one came out to see if I needed help. One dealer walked away when I told him I was just looking, didn't know what I wanted. And one, was actually downright arrogant and rude! I ended up looking at JP Chevrolet. I had the BEST experience there. I was met on the lot by Miles Hurr. I explained I was just looking, no idea what I really wanted, new, used, size etc. He took the time to walk me around, showed me new and used cars, answered ALL my questions honestly( and I had ALOT of questions) Took me on test drives and ultimately, helped me into my newest purchase. Like I said, I wasn't even looking for a car but he went above and beyond my expectations of what a car salesman is. I will absolutely refer my family and friends to him. I was very impressed with the whole process. Not once did I feel pressured or persuaded to look at cars that "needed to be moved off the lot" like I had in the past. I think JP Chevrolet has a real asset with Miles as an employee. I am now the very happy and proud owner of a brand new Nissan!!! More

My experience with JP Chevrolet was very positive. Miles was my sales consultant and he not only listened to what my goals were and what I wanted to achieve but he later delivered it. I was awe struck by th was my sales consultant and he not only listened to what my goals were and what I wanted to achieve but he later delivered it. I was awe struck by the consideration and the customer service I was given. Let's face it, no one likes to feel haggled when they are buying a car, new or used. I didn't feel that way at all and I would definitely purchase another car from JP Chevrolet. More
I sent my daughter there to purchase her first car on her own. Lets just say they tried cheating her out of $250, which was finally refunded to her. But there were other issues that needed taken care of so own. Lets just say they tried cheating her out of $250, which was finally refunded to her. But there were other issues that needed taken care of so I called and talked to Scott the sales manager, his customer service skills need some work. Finally he told me to have her bring the car in on Saturday no appointment needed just ask for him. When she arrived she could not find him any where another employee suggested he was outside smoking finally after about 10 minutes my daughters boyfriend located him outside smoking with a group of guys, he was annoyed and said he had a meeting. When he came in to talk to my daughter he acted like he had no idea why she was there when I had spoked to him twice in the last week. They did take care of what needed taken care of but it left me feeling like they want the sale but they care nothing about customer service they could care less if a customer is happy or unhappy as long as they made the sale. I purchased a new Nissan Murano from them and I will not go back when its time to trade. More
Went to dealer just to see a car my son purchased. Was told if I wanted to Trade in my 6 month old Toyota Prius they would work with me, even swap, blah blah. At that time I laughed it off and said no I w told if I wanted to Trade in my 6 month old Toyota Prius they would work with me, even swap, blah blah. At that time I laughed it off and said no I was not interested. I went back a few weeks later to look at some of the new Nissans. Everyone was so nice and I buckled and got carried away and traded for a 2012 Nissan Sentra. Upon leaving the dealership, we noticed the car AC was not blowing cold, and the car was pulling to the right. We took the car back to the dealership and complained about the problems with a BRAND NEW CAR. The service dept guy came out and said, oh the factory sends them low on Freon sometimes, so they "added" some and off we went. A few days later we took the car in to be checked as it was pulling to the right. And the AC was still not blowing COLD even full fan on MAX.. Was told the ac compressor needed to be changed!!! ON a BRAND NEW CAR!! and they would have to order the part. As to the pulling, they would keep it and check it out. My uncle passed away and we had to leave town. They gave us a loaner ( which we did not drive to FL considering not wanting to put that many miles on their loaner) 10 days later the car is ready. I was told on the phone by the Service Manager, that the compressor was replaced and that they "had to cut a slot into the Strut tower to align the car". They do not have any "play" and had to do that in order to align the car. My husband was NOT happy. this is a brand new car!! Talked to Scott as we were told he was the Manager, very rude when I husband was upset as he had every right to be. When we said we were going to file a complaint with Nissan and we wanted another car or our money back, we would pursue any legal avenues available to us . This car is a lemon and has something wrong with it. His response at that time was "well if you decide to go to a lawyer, I will not even talk to you further about the car. He is Very RUDE!!!! On top of this had to wait a couple of hours because they were supposed to have another spare key for us, and after having the car for 10 days they still got it screwed up and no key worked. Was advised by Nissan to take it to another dealer as I refused to deal with JP NIssan. We called the other dealership and explained everything that was going on, over the phone the service advisor said that what we had told him was NOT NORMAL..but after we took the car to this dealer and they talked to Nissan Corp, well they changed their tune. Total waste of 40 mile drive and 1/2 day sitting at this other dealership. A few weeks later, I am driving the car and hear like a screeching noise, like I am dragging a piece of metal. I stop and the noise stops, I get out and look under the car and cant see anything. I drive more, and their is the screeching sound again..I take the car back to Nissan and Scott comes out and looks at the car. There is a lot of "brake Dust " all over the hub caps. He takes it out for a drive and can not re-create the noise, therefore I am lying and since he didnt hear it, his explanation is that it is rust building up on the rotors!! WHAT???? I said this car sleeps in a heated garage, its only a few weeks old, there is NO RUST visable on the rotors. He treats me like a stupid woman and takes me out to their lot, points to a Mercedes and said, you see this Mercedes, if it sits on our lot a few days the same thing will happen. I look at him like you gotta be kidding me??? Basically he says, well these cars are made with parts from Mexico, China etc, what do you expect! We left and I called Nissan Again and by now they had a case # assigned. They of course state that the strut towers were not cut into, and no one could re-create the problems so they were closing the case. Funny that the Service Manager that told me about the Cutting into the Strut Tower was fired or left the JP dealership after this incident!!!! Now we have new problems, the rear defroster does NOT defrost even a thin coat of ice, we need to turn the car on and let it run for about 20-30 minutes before driving it in the cold, if not, it will not shift and the RPMs go way up to over 3000 even driving it at 20 mph..usually after driving 20-25 miles it stops doing this and RPMs go back to normal. A few days ago I am coming home and hear a CLANKING noise, I look in the mirror and see a piece of something fly out from underneath the car. I stop and back up and picked it up from the road, its a piece of solid metal, kinda twisted S shaped thing, I have no idea where it came from. Took it in for routine oil change last week and sat in their service dept for 2 1/2 hours for a freakin oil change!!!!!!! Mr scott walked by us several times and didnt even look at us, he is such a professional (NOT) I now have an appointment for Jan 7th to address these new problems, but no matter what is wrong with the car , its normal to them. I WILL FILE ANOTHER COMPLAINT WITH NISSAN CORP REGARDING ALL THESE LATEST PROBLEMS BUT NEVER NEVER NEVER AGAIN WILL I BUY A NISSAN OR A CAR FROM JP NISSAN IN PERU ILLINOIS!!!!! STAY AWAY, DRIVE TO ANY OTHER DEALER BUT I DO NOT RECOMMEND JP NISSAN IN PERU ILLINOIS. More
This dealership was recommended to me by my father who has purchased a few new vehicles from them in the past. He usually worked with Scott Anseth's father who left the dealership to manage a restaurant. has purchased a few new vehicles from them in the past. He usually worked with Scott Anseth's father who left the dealership to manage a restaurant. It was suggested that we speak to Dave from a mutual friend. When we arrived Dave was busy with a customer, (which is totally fine), so Brad came over to help us. Brad is new and did not have much product knowledge. He was friendly and let us test drive a used 2011 vehicle. The moment we got back he threw it in our face that he was supposed to come with but because there were 4 people he couldn't go and that he could have gotten in trouble. (I would have been more than happy to let someone stay behind if he had to come with, there is also room for 5 people to be seated), I felt that he was being rude. I do not get off work until 5pm and the dealership closes at 7pm, once we were able to drive and return to the dealership it was 6:30pm. I decided I liked the vehicle and we would haggle in price, Scott came out and ultimately took over an hour to discount the vehicle a total of $2500.00. He complained the whole time about how he wanted to go see his kid and have a beer and the janitor blatantly looked at us and shut the lights off on us a couple of times. As soon as I got home I looked online at 2 vehicles identical to the vehicle I purchased and Scott had reduced the price by $2,000. When I confronted him about this he told me, "oh, they have been sitting on the lot for a long time so I just reduced the price." Scott lied to us the night before and gave us and extremely hard time getting a lower price when he knew he would go and reduce the prices online that night. This was absolutely rude and if I could go back in time I would NOT purchase the vehicle. I had to take the vehicle home dirty and with not even enough gas to get home. They refused to put gas in it or clean it at all because it wasn't a new car, even though my experience so far had been horrible. I will never return to this dealership and am not happy with my purchase, my salesmen or their customer service. I will never recommend this dealership to anyone unless they like to be treated horribly. More
