Absolutely love my 2014 Mini-Cooper, and Chip Lowman and his team were fantastic. Helpful without putting on pressure. Friendly without being phony. Chip put all the used-car salesman stereotypes to rest. My only sadness is that after only a short time driving my cute, little red mini, we received unexpected overseas orders and now I will have to tell her goodbye. More

Sold the car I was inspecting day before. Then worked to fi I was sent to JN Chevrolet through the Costco Auto Buying Program. They are in Honolulu and I live in Kona so first question was if they could even of I was sent to JN Chevrolet through the Costco Auto Buying Program. They are in Honolulu and I live in Kona so first question was if they could even offer me an option and the response was that it was no problem and they ship to all the islands regularly. Because of fair credit I was referred to JN Preowned their sister company. Two vehicles caught my eye and I sent in my application with a small down payment which I increased to a sizable one once I decided on a vehicle. I decided on the 2006 Lexus RX 400H and started the process with Toyo and Leila when Toya was not available. It took almost a week to get a total on the vehicle with shipping. Then I asked for the condition and was told that would take the managers approval. Then asked for the inspection report with the fact that this is a hybrid and the battery system is so expensive to replace. Was told that they were not sure they could provide that without managers approval. A few days later nothing so called back and said I can put the deposit down now pending the inspection and also set up an appointment at Lexus to pay for their own inspection. Doing my due diligence. A couple days later called back and said I had set up the appointment and was coming over in two days since it was seemed no answers were forthcoming and maybe in person I could see the report from in house inspection and take the car to Lexus for the appointment that same day. Again wanted to put a down payment to hold the vehicle pending the inspection report I had been asking for over a week now… Managers approval. When can I get that? Don’t know they are busy so maybe a day or two. I specifically said I am had booked my travel to come over and finalize the purchase of this vehicle and can I put a down payment again pending an inspection report they had in the glove box. Managers approval. Told the day before they had a great day of sales and Lexus was sold. Amazing to me how they handled this. My brother in law in Honolulu owns a tour company and works with them so as a family we already have some history. Called back after I calmed down and asked to speak to a supervisor. No response. So disappointed in the team here and needed to share my experience. Just the worst way a dealership could treat someone. More
