The east side delarship place is horrible they said they wouldn't take trades even tho they are that type of person. This place is the worst place ever. I've given myself numerous weeks to cool off before I write this review. Needless to say, it hasn't helped. If you could vote negative stars I would. To start out with, they were moderately pushy. I was gently harassed about buying the car by text. Nothing too aggravating though. I ended up fallIng in love with a silver 2016 Ford Fusion and decide to purchase it. They had told me the owner of the business would drive this car home and enjoyed it immensely. Let me preface this by saying I have worked for a dealership in the past. A small hometown dealer that emphasized buyer experience and quality vehicles with transparency to previous vehicle issues. Which was why I was attracted to J&R. Small, been in business for thirty plus years...it SEEMED solid. Upon purchasing this vehicle I didn't not haggle with them. I considered it my Covid Contribution, being in healthcare I was fortunate to have a steady paycheck and I wanted to pay it forward a little bit. The delivery of the vehicle would be rated a negative ten if I could. They didn't vacuum it one last time, or run it through the car wash. There were no personal touches that said they cared. I got to friendly's about half an hour away and the car wouldn't turn over, then Brian had the audacity to ask if I was starting it correctly. Check engine light was now on. They said to bring it in the next chance I got and they would fix it, I also asked them to make good on their promise of getting me a good deal on tires. Upon bringing the car in he knew nothing of tires, and I was charged half of the cost to fix it. I was mildly perturbed but trying to be civil. Not 24 hours after picking up my car, the check engine light comes on again. I was furious. I know that when you hook the computer up to a car you can cancel the code regardless of the issue being fixed or not. So here I am thinking what did I get myself into. I call the dealership and speak with Brian, asking him flat out if the car had thrown codes and they cancelled them instead of fixing. He out and out yelled at me over the phone horrendously insulted that I would suggest such a thing. Again, I took it because I don't want to accuse someone wrongly. This time I take the vehicle to a certified ford dealership- I end up breaking down on the way in and having to be towed. I walk out with a 1200$ bill -tires and evap valve. Three weeks after purchasing this vehicle with the most expensive after market warranty which they said between insurance and warranty they get almost everything covered all the time. Whether or not this business cancels codes without fixing, I can't tell you. All I know is that they didn't stand behind their extremely expensive car that they made an exorbitant amount of money off of, and topped it off with yelling at me. I will say however, I think it strange how there are other reviews of codes being thrown immediately after purchase. Regardless, my lesson has been learned. Always haggle, always read reviews, never go through this perfect example of a shady dealership. I fully plan to contact the Better Business Bureau. I would call the dealership but I don't particularly feel like being treated like crap, and have no desire to speak with them again. Not to mention, I specifically asked dealership if they had updated all recalls. They replied that they had indeed. Imagine my surprise when Ford informed me that the recalls had NOT, in fact, been replaced. A dealership operating in this manner has the potential to get someone killed. * This was posted on google 16+ hours ago and no I cannot find it. Quick, easy to deal with and efficient we were very pleased dealing with Brian. He was able to answer any questions we had about the car and was very helpful. Make sure they fix what they say they will fix I purchased a GMC Sierra a few months back. Prior to purchasing it I advised that the battery was bad and needed to be replaced. John stated no worr I purchased a GMC Sierra a few months back. Prior to purchasing it I advised that the battery was bad and needed to be replaced. John stated no worries I will take care of it. Bad on my part I assumed taking care of it meant putting in a better battery. Instead they put in a slightly less bad battery, if they replaced it at all. Now 3 months later I am having to replace the battery that was originally purchased in 2015. I did try contacting J&R but received no response. More

I bought a 10 year old RAV4 from them and the transmission leaked the next day. I took it back and they had my car for over 6 weeks before I demanded them to hand my car over. They didn’t fix anything they promised and know I’ve put another $3000 into it only to have the transmission leak and now I need a new one! All they did was lie to me from the beginning about this car and now I can’t do anything about it. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALER!!! More
