Kudos to J. Allen Toyota team. Especially Jason, the salesman, he was very patient with me. I've been mislead in many different ways by other dealerships. Each Allen Toyota team. Especially Jason, the salesman, he was very patient with me. I've been mislead in many different ways by other dealerships. Each time I buy a vehicle, I learned something in the hard way. But this time, I bought a vehicle and didn't feel pressured at all. For the first time, I walked out of the dealership contented. Thanks J Allen Toyota Team ;) More

For safety reasons, I had my Toyota Tacoma towed to this dealership, due to some brake issues. It arrived to J. Allen Toyota on July 08, 2022. After the vehicle was there a couple of days, I received this dealership, due to some brake issues. It arrived to J. Allen Toyota on July 08, 2022. After the vehicle was there a couple of days, I received a call informing me that the “brake accumulator needs replacement” at a price of $1,600. From my research, it was discovered this would be a $316.00 part plus labor. But, the very next day, I was informed that the vehicle required additional work - “the brake master cylinder needs to be replaced also” bringing the price to $2,400. A couple of hours after that call I received another informing me that the brake booster also needed to be replaced bringing the bill to total around $3,100.00. At that time, I was informed that this part (the entire assembly) is not available anywhere and would be on backorder with no possibility of getting it before July 23rd. With a couple of phone calls, I inquired to other nearby Toyota dealerships to confirm this and was told by two others that “there’s no way to tell when this part might be available for that year, make and model - could be one to six months”. I find it very strange that a couple of days later, the automotive part miraculously appears in their shop. By the way, the $225.00 diagnostic fee at this particular dealership is not credited towards work performed. $150 to diagnose the brake issue and $75 diagnose fee for a “quote” on replacing my rear brake shoes. This was a quote I asked for… not a diagnostic. It has been my experience that diagnoses fees at other dealerships were always credited towards work performed. It has also been my experience to receive a military discount of at least 10% off any cost of repairs. This place offers 10%, but only up to $50 discount that was offered, but was NOT provided. I was told that my vehicle would be ready on July 21st. It was, but not until after 5pm. After paying $3,154.00 for this repair and attempting to drive away in my newly repaired Tacoma, and not even leaving the parking lot, the brakes were very mushy; although, my receipt indicated that a “test drive was performed”. If a test drive was truly performed, why is it that my brakes were so mushy to the point that the brake pedal nearly touched the floorboard?? I immediately returned to the service department to complain about the mushy brakes, the hood couldn’t be raised because, for some reason, the hood release was disconnected during the repair process and was not reconnected. After the service tech fiddled with something under the hood and took my vehicle for a test ride, he informed that the brakes are fine. From what I have read on this website, it is my very strong opinion to agree with all of these one star reviews that this dealership is a rip-off place and not consumer friendly whatsoever. I would highly recommend anyone considering using this place for repairs to AVOID AT ALL COSTS BECAUSE THEY ARE CROOKS!!! More

If there was a -5 star review this place would take the cake. My Tacoma needed a new PCM so my mechanic couldnt replace it because of programming. When I called to order it and have them replace it they qu cake. My Tacoma needed a new PCM so my mechanic couldnt replace it because of programming. When I called to order it and have them replace it they quoted me just under $1000 and wanted to charge for there diagnostic fee which I declined and from there the nightmare just got worse. 3 weeks later they tell me my truck still wont run and they need to do a 2 hour diagnosis, I relented and coughed up the $300 and the senior tech Tim assured me he was the best and if he couldnt fix it no one could. I asked him to keep the old PCM so i could keep it since he said there was nothing wrong with the one he had replaced. I show up to pick up my truck and not only did the old PCM "get thrown away" they tried to over charge me by almost 600$. After some back and forth we settle on $1800 paid. I drive my truck home and park it. On my way to work the next morning it breaks down on me again, doing the exact same thing. I call toyota about it and they tell me to bring it back to them. Another 5 days go by, they call me and tell me its the key(its old and worn) I bring them my spare set, the story changes to 02 sensor and key...and my fuel pump, which they claim I burnt out trying to start the truck. I ask them not to touch my truck that I will be there to tow it, I show up with the tow truck and the service guys inform me I need to pay another $150 in diagnosis because it wasnt the same problem they already fixed. I asked to speak to the manager but was told that he would not come out to speak to me. I ended up splitting the new diagnosis cost to get my truck back because they would not release it without payment. To top it all off I have my mechanic look at the PCM and it looks like the original, were talking dust and rust, of course there is no way to prove it because there is no way to track a part other than the same part number as the rest of the same parts have. I have never experienced anything like this place, a manager to scared to talk to a customer who just pent thousands of dollars at your shop, and a service tech who doesn't know the difference between a tire and a door handle. I have been reading the reviews on this place and it seems they regularly screw people over. I would avoid J Allen Toyota at all costs. SCAM ARTISTS!!!!! More
