I went in for a recall letter but ended up with the 5000 mile service even though I only had 3800 miles on the car. Wonder if this is normal policy for all Toyota dealers or just the one at Gulfport? mile service even though I only had 3800 miles on the car. Looked at a used Honda Odyssey on their lot, it was not parked in the normal are, but by the service area. When cranked the check engine light was on and when drove there was a problem in the drivability parked in the normal are, but by the service area. When cranked the check engine light was on and when drove there was a problem in the drivability (the steering was jumping at highway speed). The salesman stated that these issues would be fixed before it was delivered to us. Told salesman we needed a reliable vehicle because that was why we were trading in our Dodge Caravan. When picked up check engine light was off, but came on again within a few days. Light kept going on and off over a period of days. Always was off when managed to get to dealership. Finally was on once and they said one of three catalytic converters was bad to wait 30 days for the warranty to take effect. Warranty does not cover catalytic converters. So they finally fixed it. Still no fix on wheel shimmy, but was better after tire balance. After catalytic converter replaced check engine light STILL comes on sometimes. Dealership said that they were through with the vehicle that was purchased "as is" and they weren't fixing anything else, did finally figure out tire(s) were bad. They will not replace any of the tires or do any other work since it was 6 months since we purchased the vehicle. We have been fighting them ever since, so not our fault. Don't trust the salespeople here to actually do right by the customer, don't trust the dealership to back them. Good luck getting it in writing. In fairness, he also told me they had two keys and they didn't ($170 cost for key and programming), and had to fight to get the proper floor-mats put in. I had to call the previous owner myself to find out about the keys. Should have researched dealership more before purchase. More

Over an hour and a half for an oil change and tire rotation, totally unsatisfactory. After an hour I asked Mrs Hill the status and she replied it was finished and she was just waiting for the paperwor rotation, totally unsatisfactory. After an hour I asked Mrs Hill the status and she replied it was finished and she was just waiting for the paperwork. 30 minutes later I was still there waiting. There was no excuse for that amount of time to pass for paperwork. Upon arriving and checking my vehicle in it was recommended I get a tire rotation. I said that was fine because that is what the dealership has always done for me before. I was not told that I would now be charged for this service. I drove off very furious that I was charged so much and had to wait an excessive amount of time for the service to be done. Driving down the road I noticed a thump on my tire which I suspected as a flat spot. I took the car back to the dealership and they put my tires back to their original positions and Mrs. Hill removed the original tire rotation bill. I told Mrs. Hill upon paying that Allen Toyota had just lost a customer. I live in Gulfport but will gladly drive to Pascagoula for any future servicing. More
I normally would not take the time to find an outlet to rate a service or buying experience, but the crew at Allen Toyota more than deserve it. Mr. James Usey, and Jeremy Bermond took great care of us, and rate a service or buying experience, but the crew at Allen Toyota more than deserve it. Mr. James Usey, and Jeremy Bermond took great care of us, and I can say, For The First Time, that buying a vehicle was an enjoyable experience. I was greeted promptly upon arriving, introduced to a sales manager, and off we went. I told Jeremy what I was looking for, and before I knew it, there were vehicles/options waiting for us at the door. Jeremy was very knowledgeable of the vehicle (Tacoma Pre-Runner) that I was interested in, which is a must for me, and a deal was struck promptly. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR POTENTIAL NEW CAR BUYERS. This dealership has a lack of customer service in my opinion. Ironically, their mission statement is the exact opposite of what they claim. "Our mi This dealership has a lack of customer service in my opinion. Ironically, their mission statement is the exact opposite of what they claim. "Our mission is to provide our customers with an experience that is unsurpassed." I would agree with this upon my first visit to this location, I was not confronted by a single sales person. I entered the showroom to find a salesperson and they were all laughing, playing, and joking around not paying one bit of attention to a potential customer. All staff members were highly preoccupied with their smart phones and didn’t seem interested in selling anything. I had to go to the sales manager’s desk and demand a brochure. I would say that experience was unsurpassed....good words Scott C. Allen! Another highlight of their mission statement would be "Customers for life".....well you need to actually want to have a customer in order to have this (hint...hint...Scott C. Allen) The best part would be "Our success is determined by respectfully providing the highest quality service to every customer and associate in a timely manner." Well from my experience you did not have success in making me a customer for life. I left their dealership and bought a brand new car the next day with an actual dealership that is determined and devoted to customer service. For a company to keep saying they are going to provide customer service should realize in today’s economy its called customer loyalty. Read about it Scott C. Allen, maybe you will learn something and your employees can actually learn to interact with their limited customer base in a professional manner. More
I had contacted the dealership back in September via the web site and got a pre-approval for a loan. I searched other dealerships over the next few months for a vehicle with my specific needs. I found sever web site and got a pre-approval for a loan. I searched other dealerships over the next few months for a vehicle with my specific needs. I found several but was not impressed with the service of the sales staff. On a whim I went to Allen Toyota last Thursday afternoon. I drove past the sales staff and went to the back lot to look at the trucks. Jim Ferguson was on the back lot working with another customer, the customer would not even get out of the car to talk to Jim, Jim however maintained his professionalism and continued to work with the guy and let me know that he would be with me shortly. When the customer left, Jim approached me, shook my hand and asked how he could help. I had located a vehicle that I was interested in, Jim unlocked the truck, we took a test drive, Jim explained in detail the features of the truck, drive train and engine, he was extremely knowledgeable. At the end of the test drive, I told Jim where I needed to be with my trade, finance options, payment requirements and overall dollar amount. Jim went right to work, he ran it by the sales manager Jake, Jake came over shook my hand and made sure I was getting what I wanted, I assured him that I was, they both then took the deal to the finace manage Kevin, Kevin met me asked a few questions and went to work. Shortly after I was setting down with kevin discussing options and payments, we struck a deal and began the paperwork. All together 2- hours from my arrival I drove home with a new 2013 Toyota Tundra.......great job guys and thank you....Tom Rice More
