I needed the following: 1) oil change and lube 2) check engine light was on 3) exhaust was noisy (hole somewhere) 4) manufacture recall After 2 hrs I checked on status. All that was done was the oil change. Really, it took 2 hrs to do an oil change. But yes, then the tech was able to tell me what I already KNEW. Thanks for that. No other work was done. not even started. I had a pressing appointment that I had to get to so I could not afford to wait more time since my truck was still in a queue not even close to the work I had requested beyond a 20 min oil change. I was also asked if I had made an appointment in advance as it seemed that I was being "worked in" what ever that meant. Again. thanks for that. I had told 3 people what I wanted done, and needed done. 1) when I called 2) Two people when I arrived BUT neither was my service person! wow. Engine burning oil I brought my 2009 camry in for my routine oil change & diagnostic service. When I made the appointment I pointed out as I did the last time I brought I brought my 2009 camry in for my routine oil change & diagnostic service. When I made the appointment I pointed out as I did the last time I brought it in for an oil change that when it get close to 5,000 miles the oil lamp on the dashboard lights up. After waiting about 45 minutes, Steven came out to tell me some horrifying news. The engine is burning oil (it had about 2 quarts left out of the 5), and to fix the problem would coast approx. $6500. To say the least, I was quite shocked. At this visit my camry had 112,470 miles. I was not told this scenario when I brought my car the previous 5,000 miles, nor any time prior to my car reaching 100,000. I can only report my disgust and disappointment, that no one at Allen could find this problem prior to my car reaching 100,000 (when it was under warranty). I cant believe that this problem only came up after my warranty was up, and after reading many, many narratives on the internet with people owning 2009 camrys with the same problem, I can only say that I think there is a design flaw in the engine and that there should have been a recall to fix this problem. Since, I believe this problem developed long before 100,000 miles, I dont think I should be responsible to pay $6500 to have it fixed. I would hope that Allen Toyota service department could do something to help me financially to help me with this huge amount since they did not find the problem until my warranty expired. Since I purchased my camry in 2008, I have never had my car serviced by anyone but Allen Toyota. I have every confidence that Allen Toyota will do the right thing and fix my car since I believe it should have been discovered and fixed while it was under warranty. More

But this has been the second occasion that I've brought in a coupon that was posting on the website and it hasn't been applied to my bill. I gave the $10 off coupon to Steve and after I left and reviewed my receipt it wasn't applied.I have brought in one in the past and Mr.Tieblier told the service writer that it couldn't be applied to my current service it had to be used on the next date of service which didn't make sense because the coupon would have been expired. I still haven't received that discount although I was told it would be applied to my next service(s) and I have since had several. Shekiba Allen More

After asking around, I found the service center desk around the corner with two gentlemen sitting there. One was scowling at his computer screen and did not acknowledge me. The other was on the phone and after a minute politely said, "I'll be with you in just a minute." I had come in for an oil change and one hour later had to ask to have my car back. One hour seems a bit long. Price advertised on the website when booking appt was 39.99 so why did I end up paying around $57? More
