Bought car and getting screwed Bought car and was not told conv top was not working properly. Tried to have them fix it they said that all they could do was split the cost. quality work--very slow service Oil change and tire rotation took two hours on my Prius. Anybody that does oil change and tire service is 45 minutes or less. When I first got my car I wanted the Toyota service. Allen Toyota is conveniently located and open on Saturdays which is great. I can't argue as far as I know with the quality of work. This basic service took 45 minutes to an hour 3 years ago. I called, back in the winter to get some air in my tire due to the low pressure indicator light being on. I called and asked how long it would take. I was told on 2 different calls it will only take a few minutes (I have the Nitro-fil membership so wanted the nitrogen). It took 45-50 minutes. Since I was on my way out of town this was an inconvenient "more" than a few minutes. About a month or two ago, I brought my wifes car in to buy new tires and get the oil changed (Highlander). We were told if we waited two days we would save more money.That was nice even though it involved another visit. The tire alignment machine was not working when we got the tires. Why only one in a business this size if every tiny tire shop can afford one? Before getting home, 10 of the 20 lug nut caps had come off. The small independent business where we had previously gone had not lost any over the previous 120 thousand miles of tire service. So the third trip back to get the alignment was done...it took a fourth trip back to get the lug nut covers. No offer of a free oil change or any of the sort was offered for our troubles. Ok, today and back to the prius. It took two hours for an oil change and a tire rotation. That is basically unexcusable. Once again for a business this size there shuld be a seperate areea only for oil changes and tire service. Seriously two hours is ludicrous. Nothing was said about taking so long. I just cant imagine why that cannot be remedied. Again, it seems as there is quality work, the service reps are nice enough, but 4 trips for basic purchase and service of tires and two hours for an oil change and tire rotation is VERY POOR! There is no excuse! More
