SHADY DEALERSHIP WITH GRIFTER MENTALITY Shady dealership with a grifter culture from the top down. Initial quote for a 3 year lease on a new Santa Fe XL was $11,000 down and $600/month. EL Shady dealership with a grifter culture from the top down. Initial quote for a 3 year lease on a new Santa Fe XL was $11,000 down and $600/month. ELEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS down for a 3 year lease- I laughed in the kid's (Yousef) face and he played it off like it was completely normal to pay $33,000 to lease a $40,000 car for 3 years. Then the con artist manager (Joe) came over and tried to convince me that it was a mistake and they "thought I wanted to pay 11k down based on the info I gave them over the phone". Nice try Joe. After hours of haggling we agreed on a 1k down payment and $560/month at 15,000 miles annually, which i stated was a must from the beginning, 12k /year wouldn't work. ANNUAL MILEAGE NEVER CAME UP AGAIN. After agreeing to lease the car around 5pm I then waited over FOUR HOURS for their finance and contracts dept to get all the paperwork ready for signature. They said it was a busy day and everything was backed up, so by the time they brought the paperwork to me the dealership had closed and I was the last person there. We rushed through the signatures and the sales conman never pointed out the annual mileage, which they nefariously bumped down to 12k- lower annual mileage means higher commission rate! If they hadn't initially put such a ridiculous hail mary offer in front of me first, I would think otherwise but I'm convinced this is a tactic the dealership uses to rush people through the lease signing so they can slip stuff past the goalie. I did not discover the error until 3 weeks later when i was able to log into my Hyundai Financial account- filed a complaint with Hyundai Consumer affairs but it would be a shocker if anything changes. BUYER BEWARE on this grifter dealership- don't accept the first 3 offers they put in front of you and READ EVERYTHING THROUGHLY. More
