Transmission service then transmission trouble! Car in for transmission service, shortly after wife says car is acting strange and service light comes on intermittently. One day when service light i Car in for transmission service, shortly after wife says car is acting strange and service light comes on intermittently. One day when service light is on I put my code reader on and get a transmission code and one for the fuel system. I make appointment but when I get the car in the light is out but they get a read for the fuel system reprogram it. No charge, thank you! 👍A month later lights back on and I feel the car slamming into gear on some shifts. Make appointment. Light is on when I arrive so they check and say third gear pressure switch needs to be changed at a cost of $175, but still can't be sure that is what it is. I will change the part myself and save waiting for another half a day. People at Honda are pleasant and mostly I feel good about going in. More

Service Center After receiving a factory recall for my Honda Civic?s airbag, I was able to call and schedule an appointment with a rude employee on the phone. On the After receiving a factory recall for my Honda Civic?s airbag, I was able to call and schedule an appointment with a rude employee on the phone. On the appointment day, they were able to replace the airbag inflator fairly quickly. The next few times I drove after picking up my car I had to jump start it. This is the second Honda car in our family that has regular check-ups, and that had starting/electrical problems immediately recalled airbags replaced at this Honda dealership. More

Provides Expected Service I have an older (very old, almost old enough to vote!) Honda with lots of miles on it. Recently, I suffered a breakdown in which the poor soul had to I have an older (very old, almost old enough to vote!) Honda with lots of miles on it. Recently, I suffered a breakdown in which the poor soul had to be towed to the dealer for repair. Despite it being an unexpected client in a very busy morning of appointments, the service department assured me that they "will fix it" and have it back to me by the end of the day. Alas, they were overwhelmed by the service and repairs ahead of me and it was not possible. BUT, the following morning shortly after 9 a.m., I received a call. "Your car is ready for pick up" were words music to my ears. In all the years I have been doing business with Island Honda, I have always been more than satisfied with the work done, the courteousness of the staff and their willingness to make me happy, and the fairness of the fees charged for the services performed. Kudos to you all! More
