On a whim I stopped by Irwin on my way back from a work related field trip to look over the RAV 4s. Rick John made his way over to where I was admiring the vehicles and asked if he could assist. I told him what I was looking for and what I had to offer as a trade in---a VW Jetta diesel that I really enjoyed but could no longer get serviced where I purchased it. He said he could have a couple of vehicles in a couple of days that would fill my request. I wanted a tow package, rain shields over the windows,and mud flaps as extras. On Saturday I arrived and as promised found two vehicles that met my specifications. Without even testing the 4 cylinder, I chose the 6. The wait time for the paperwork was long but nowhere near as long as other dealerships and I left with my new ride the same day. I am so very happy with the RAV. On service visits if I see Rick, he takes time for conversation as do the other service providers. I would highly recommend Irwin not only for fairness in trade but in their great customer service. I have had bad experiences with several other repair shops about not doing the work right the first time. I once spent about $700 dollars on a repair job that required serious dismantling of the engine shops about not doing the work right the first time. The truck still did not run correctly so I took to my reliable repair man, now deceased, who correctly diagnosed a sticking float. I have had other similiar problems, so when I find a shop that does repairs right the first time, I go back to them. I have a 92 Toyota truck that had brake failure. Took it to a local shop, spent $200 and when I drove it home (5 Miles), I had to replace the brake fluid. Next day I took it to Irwin, spent about $1500 to get it fixed. The brake line had corroded over the gas tank. In removing the tank to replace the line the tank was damaged so a new tank was required. Expensive repair, but necessary work was done not ignored as it was by the other shop. When I get in my vehicles and turn the key I expect them to start and get me safely to where I want to go. No buts, no ifs. With Irwin, I have never been disappointed. When my 02 Tacoma goes in for service if the mechanic notices something that needs replacing, he tells the service manager, the service manager and I have a conference and the repair gets done. More

I purchased my 2005 Toyota Prius in November, 2004 from Irwin Motors. At a time when other area dealers were selling the Prius above MSRP or, in one case, on E-Bay, Irwin Motors offered a straight-forward, Irwin Motors. At a time when other area dealers were selling the Prius above MSRP or, in one case, on E-Bay, Irwin Motors offered a straight-forward, no more-no less MSRP price on a car which had a six month waiting list. Never mind that the sales staff were courteous and patient and that he trade-in value offered was fair. Since that time I have had my Prius serviced exclusively by Irwin Motors Service Department. It is easy to make an appointment in person or over the internet, they have always been ready for me and when requested, the dealership makes a rental car available as a loaner. After 136,000 absolutely trouble-free miles they are still a pleasure to deal with and have never tried to sell me on more than I needed. Other amenities, such as a spacious waiting room and public internet access , only serve to make the mundane business of servicing an automobile a positive experience. More
