Kathy- I'm sorry to hear of the inconvenience that we caused both yourself and your husband. I spoke with Kim and she feels awful, as evidence by the e-mail she sent to you on the 7th. I can assure you that we don't do business trying to hide things from customers--as evident by the walk around video Kim did of the Sienna and the multiple online photos we posted. Unfortunately the price we couldn't really move much on as we were losing money at that number. I had our Used Car Manager, Betty Ballantyne, pull an Autocheck on the Sienna. We bought it from Enterprise Rental in the beginning of July. The Autocheck report showed an accident being reported after we had bought it/run an Autocheck report--there was no reason for us to suspect the vehicle had been in a minor accident in North Carolina b/c nothing originally showed up. I know that all of this doesn't make up for the time you and your husband spent coming to our store, however, I did want to show that we really do try to be as transparent and honest as possible. I think you can even see that in the e-mails that went back and forth between yourself and Kim. Unfortunately for us and yourself we weren't aware of the accident and had no reason to suspect an accident based on the time frame in which we purchased the vehicle. Chris, Thanks for taking the time to send this message. My husband told me that you also made a phone call. That was nice but... The Autocheck report that Kim held in her hand last Friday should have been read BEFORE we got there and we should have been told about the vehicle's history BEFORE we decided to make the trip. You may not have tried to hide the facts but you certainly were not trying to help us make an informed decision. And who did the paint job anyway?? Sincerely, Kathy Rouleau

Kathy- We pulled the report before we purchased the vehicle and, at that time, it was clean. I can't recall an instance, until now, where an accident was then reported on an AutoCheck/Carfax after we have purchased a vehicle or taken it in on trade. We check these to protect ourselves as well as the customer before purchases. There was no reason for us to suspect the vehicle had been in a minor accident in NC as we had pulled the Autocheck report prior to purchasing it--We had no idea of the accident. I don't know who did the paint job as we purchased the vehicle from Enterprise Rental. Sorry I couldn't be more help, but we were as surprised as you with the AutoCheck report. Kathy- Per my follow up letter as well as Kim's follow up e-mail we are very disappointed that things didn't work out and apologize for any inconvenience. In the letter I sent you I included the AutoCheck report that shows we ran an Autocheck Vehicle History Report when we bought the vehicle from a rental car company. However, unfortunately an accident was reported on the vehicle after this which we would have had no idea about. I certainly do apologize for the inconvenience but we were as transparent as we could be with the pictures of the vehicle as well as the video walk around that Kim sent to you. Finally, when your husband called me a week later making an offer on the vehicle I apologize that we weren't able to come to terms.
