I have been dealing with Irwin Automotive Group for well over 20 years. I have purchased several vehicles from them and would not even consider going elsewhere because of the great service department. It over 20 years. It does not matter who I deal with in service, I know I will be treated right, the price will be competitive and the work will be done right the first time. Ken Brace is always friendly, mild-mannered and thorough. What more can you ask for? You have to be able to trust the folks you service your vehicle with and that is not a problem at Irwin's. I recently purchased a 2013 toyota tundra from irwin. The sales staff was average and the sell went well. I took my truck back the following week to get mats and a remote starter installed. I was told to go to the service counter when I arrived and they would have a rental vehicle ready for me. However when. I arrived the service staff had no idea who i was and no clue about a loaner car. The "service person" just wrote down what I wanted and what I was quote on a piece of scrap paper and just put out his hand for I was assuming my keys? So after standing there for almost 30mins I walked over to the rental place to get a car. The next day I returned to pick up my truck. Again, the service person ( same one) had no idea why I was there. I explained again and after 25mins my truck was pulled around. I asked him where the manual for the starter was and he rolled his eyes and said he" ll look into it. I went to go pay while he was looking for it. Again the service people had no info regarding my purchase and could not figure out what I owed them. When I got into my truck the mats weren't in it and there were two giant scratches in my tail gate. At this point I lost it! After waiting another 25 mins to find someone to talk to they blamed me. I then blew up and they finally took it into the detail shop to buff out the scratches and finally get the mats. Almost 3 hours from when I arrived I left. I would never recommend this place to anyone. The sales was ok but the service would best be described has "slackers". One would have assumed after spending 34 grand there they might take better care o f their customers. Take the time and go somewhere else. Hope this helps future people interested in going to irwin. I puchases my Scion new in 2006 and it looks and rides like the day I bought it. I am in my 60's so I have had many automobile experiences in my life and I can truly say that this is the first time ever that my thoughts are "I will never go anywhere else" I have one short story about a day was at LRGH in blizzard conditions- when I got to the car the windshield wipers were frozen. Knowing I would never make it home (12 miles away) I called and a wonderful woman named Betty answered the phone. She said that they sent everyone home due to the weather but if I could get there she would wait for me and help me out. Betty gave me a loaner car to get home and my car was ready for pickup first thing in the AM- This is the kind of over and above service and compassion you get from Irwin's- I will forever be grateful to you Betty! And to the Irwin family of employees~ More
I am on my 4th new car and I have purchased all of them from Irwin's. The customer service is great and they make this (what can be a stressful situation) very easy.
