I had a major clutch problem that could have caused an accident...... The dealership I bought my car from told me that's just the way Hyundai makes their standards. The clutch can be a little touchy but will loosen up in time. It was getting to the point where the car clutch was stuck on the floor and sometime you had to pump it a few times and it would come back up. Sometimes I could not change gears while in traffic. I would be in 3rd but I would put my foot on the clutch and it would stick to the floor and I could not get to the next gear. I was so scared to drive this car for the longest time. Rick at Irwins said "bring it in I think I know what the problem is....here's a car for you to use". Then he called to tell me they fixed the problem and it was all covered. I was so happy with the staff and the great service that I can't thank Irwins enough. I feel like they also helped avoid me getting in a major accident with this car. It runs great now and I'm so happy. I will be telling everyone about them and hope to be getting a Tuson or maybe another Sonata sometime in the future and if I do it's going to come from them. More

I was very pleased to hear that Irwin had taken over the Hyundai Dealership in Belmont as I own a Hyundai Elantra. Our overall experience may have been better if your finance department had paid better attention. Our experience with your sales staff (Nick Brough) was the only reason we didn't just cancel everything finance department had paid better attention. Our experience with your sales staff (Nick Brough) was the only reason we didn't just cancel everything and walk out your door. He saved the sale that the people in the office were otherwise chasing out the door. There were way too many "Paperwork Errors", leading to too many return trips to your dealership, too many phone calls to try to fix their mistakes, time that I had to take off of work, not to mention the time my wife missed as well. They lost my insurance binder, so we had to chase that down again for them. And the last experience, of having my date of birth wrong, they had a photocopy of my licence right there. leading to you putting the incorrect inspection sticker on the car, which lead to more confusion when I went to register it. So I guess I'm kind of on the fence as to weather I would or could recommend you. If I do, it will be directly related to your sales staff only. More
I called the dealership looking for an appt for an oil change for the Sat b4 4th of July. I believe I called on that Thursday, not really expecting to get in. They gave me my choice of 2 times. I was able to work directly with the General Sales Manager, Matt Kelley, and he was great. Where else do you get to sit with the boss and buy a car?? Belknap Hyundai is a small, family owned and operated dealership, which makes it much more relaxed and actually enjoyable to buy a vehicle! And to top it off, their price was just as low, if not better, than every other Hyundai dealer we went to. I highly recommend that you give them a try! More
Last year we went to Belknap Hyundai to look at a '08 Veracruz we found on their website that we ultimately ended up purchasing. We had a perfect experience there. Between the deal they gave us and the kickbacks from Hyundai at the time I think we paid less that what we'd paid for our '02 Santa Fe when it was new. On top of that, we were able to negotiate some extras into the deal. They were very happy to work with us. There was plenty of back and forth but no games or tricks -- very straightforward. The sales experience itself was very friendly and professional. My wife and I took individual test drives. The kids had plenty to do inside the small dealership while mom then dad did their thing. When the deal was wrapped up, they handled everything including delivering the car to us in S. NH and taking the trade back to the dealership. The car arrived spotless with all options installed and working. The salesperson came along to make sure everything was perfect. More
I went in to buy a used Jeep, and traded in a used Jeep. When we found the vehicle we wanted, it was missing some things, like 2 cupholders, and a rearview mirror. Additionally, the battery was dead when we went to take it for a test drive. They assured me that the battery would be charged when i bought it, and filled out a 'we owe' slip for the cupholders, a spare key, a rearview mirror etc.... the next day i picked up the vehicle and teh battery died on me later that day, so they came out and replaced it with a brand new battery. Now... a month and a half later, i still haven't seen any of the parts i need (cupholders, rearview mirror etc...) except for once...when they sent me the wrong cupholders and the wrong rearview mirror. Alex is the manager and service manager, and is very nice, but an absolute FLAKE when it comes to actually managing the business. The younger alex is about 14 years old and is absolutely clueless when it comes to sales, service and creating recurring business. I believe this dealership just wants you to come in and buy a car, and they don't care if you ever come back. More
