I took my Mazda to CarMax to get a cash appraisal and then began searching dealer inventories on the internet and requesting price quotes. I had just told my wife, before leaving for a walk, that I intended to wait through the weekend and resume my search on Monday. Upon returning I found I had received an e-mail from Desiree Farey @ Franks Irvine Subaru w a quote for a 2014 Outback with the exact equipment packages we wanted. it was the lowest price quote we had yet to receive and in line with Kelly Blue Book recommendations. I contacted her by phone told her I was 40 miles away and wanted to resolve any issues prior to driving to Irvine, that I had a trade-in and questioned if she would match the quote I had, her response was no problem. When I said I wanted to take advantage of manufacture's 0% finance again no problem just do a credit app over the phone and have approval by the time we got there. We left our house @ 11:30 am every thing went as promised with no haggling, no pressure, and the sale was completed and we were back home before 3:00 pm. It was my most pleasurable, stress free car purchasing experience to date. More

Rude pushy Sales person is rude, pushy, and not trust worthy. At the beginning he was nice, until the I said I would think over the two cars he shown me. I understand it's his job to be pushy, but if he was not so rude, I probably get the car the next day or so. I decided to buy from another dealer instead. Listen carefully to what he said, I know that he was not true full. He said the subaru 2013 used car had 5 years or 100,000 miles warrantee. Later on, attempting to make me buy, he changed to 7 years or 100,000 miles. He also said the BRZ is 2.99% regardless of how long I want to finance. Then later on, again trying to push me, he said I can get it down for you 1.9%. I went to another dealer, they offered me 0.9% for 36 months term. More

It's been a very long time since I bought a new car. Partly, this is due to that fact that I'm thrifty (ok... my wife says 'cheap') but also because I grew to really dislike the new car buying experien Partly, this is due to that fact that I'm thrifty (ok... my wife says 'cheap') but also because I grew to really dislike the new car buying experience. I found this dealership to be totally different. We were ready to close a deal on another manufacturers small SUV when I decided to stop by Irvine Subaru for a final comparison. I met Daniel who I found to be very low-key but very helpful at the same time. Basically, I sold myself on a new Forester. We searched the lot looking for the exact color and features i wanted. Unfortunately, they didn't have one available. Still, the experience was so pleasant that I returned the next day. Daniel suggested that Dustin might be able to find one that was in transit - which he did in about 5 minutes. It took about the same amount of time to agree on a purchase price (which I think was a very fair one). We closed the deal on a handshake basis. I put down a $500 deposit and settled in for a 2-month wait (or 3... or 4 since the Foresters are in very high demand.) Dustin and Daniel were very up front about the likely wait time. To my surprise, I received a call 4 days later telling me my car had arrived. (They were as surprised as I was.) On returning to finish the deal I didn't really know how our handshake deal would hold up. Guess what? It was exactly as we had agreed. I would not hesitate to recommend Irvine Subaru to a close friend or family member. Also, kudos to George for helping us out when we went for our test drive. Daniel wasn't able to be there so George covered for him. I'll bet you don't see that happen at most dealers! One more thing: If you are a member of School's First FCU, Irvine Subaru in one of their 'Fast Track' dealers - meaning that they can handle the financial stuff on-line with the credit union for you. Very handy. More
