We purchased a vehicle at this dealership before and returned to purchase another vehicle. The experience of buying a vehicle with this dealership was good. However, this could have been excellent had i returned to purchase another vehicle. The experience of buying a vehicle with this dealership was good. However, this could have been excellent had it not been for Kate McDermit's lack of knowledge of the vehicle that we purchased. We loved the vehicle, drove it, and signed documents to purchase and we find out that the vehicle did not have 4 wheel drive as we were told it did have 4 wheel drive. I found this out while I looked up the vehicle on their website on-line with my personal laptop and broadband. This was a big snaffoo. She also didn't know if the engine was 4 or 6 cylander which we also found out on the web. This could be that the vehicle was just brought in but I thought if the dealer had time to list it on their website then they had it for a little while. Regardless, we were 3/4 of the way through the buying process and we learned that it wasn't 4 wheel drive after we signed the agreement to purchase the vehicle and they were searching banks for interest rates. When we learned this, Kate began telling us about how the frnot wheel drive and traction control was just as good. As an owner of several 4 wheel drive vehicles - this simply is not true. We agreed to purchase the vehicle since my wife loved the features, color, style, everything we wanted - just didn't get 4 wheel drive. I told my wife that I would pull her out with my Jeep Wrangler if she gets stuck. I think that the sales personel should have the knowledge in their hands before hand. There was a bit of reciprocity as far as conversations because I kept trying to ask questions about the vehicle and my wife and Kate were engulfed in conversations about dogs, kids, ect. I had a chance to jump out but the vehicle was my wife's and she was paying for it. Based on the purchase price that we paid for the vehicle, it should have had 4 wheel drive. The fact is - I would really raise H... but I wouldn't want to endanger Kate's job. See, I am caught in the reciprocity too. But it's true. She is a nice lady who was very charming and friendly. She just doesn't know very much about engines and drive trains. More
