Most fun I've had while buying a car! I walked into Manchester Subaru fully prepared to negotiate the pants off of a sales person. I had done my research, knew exactly what I wanted and how much I wanted to pay for it. I even brought back-up (my big baby of a Pit Bull)! Joey LaBranche and the rest of the team made me and my pup feel right at home. Everyone in the showroom was really friendly and welcoming. All of the time I spent practicing my poker face in the mirror was a waste. Joey took the time to listen to my needs and make sure I was getting exactly what I needed. When it came time to talk numbers, everything was clearly laid out and they made me an offer I couldn't refuse. I left feeling like I was walking on air. I got a fantastic finance rate, paid a great price for my new vehicle and got a fair deal on my trade. Huge thanks to Joey who went above and beyond the call of duty to show me how to install the roof racks on my new Forester! More

After buying the car he spent a lot of time explaining all the cars features to me, which was great as I am not into much of todays technology. I love the car. Could not have been easier. I got a great car for a fair price. They gave me an excellent value for my trade in.and financed the new car at 1.9% for 72 months. Amazing-As ALWAYS! I will NEVER go to another dealer! I purchased my first brand new Legacy here at the age of 21, a Crosstrek a couple years later and yet another Crosstrek just recently. Jack is my salesman and I won't deal with anyone but him. He gets me right where I need to be payment wise and I'm in and out of there with no bull or hassles. If he can't get me into what I want then it doesn't happen. I have never felt pressured or talked into something else just to make a sale. Keep doing what you do Manchester Subaru, you're the best for a reason! More
"High Pressure", No Respect My previous car was totalled in an accident, so I was in a hurry to get into a new car, but not so hurried as to be pressured by their rediculous "wha My previous car was totalled in an accident, so I was in a hurry to get into a new car, but not so hurried as to be pressured by their rediculous "what can I do to get you into this car TODAY" speeches - which I heard 4 times in a 20 minute period, after test driving an Impreza one Saturday morning. I'm brand new to the Subaru brand, but chose it because of the AWD in a compact car. It is important to note that I am a single woman in her 30s, with "Tier 1" credit, who brough her child and boyfriend to this dealership. We sat down with the rep, Mike Tarr, and started going over the features I wanted. He kept trying to push the pricing and monthly payments, but despite the obvious high-pressure tactics, I stayed focused on one thing at a time - "find me the right car, then we'll agree on a price, then we'll worry about the financing, and no, I don't want to hear about monthly payments - they'll take care of themselves if we do this in the right order." Eventually, poor Mike didn't know what to do with me when I told him point blank I wasn't getting into a car today, and he told me point blank that he wasn't going to even BOTHER to ask the Connecticut dealer about the car I REALLY wanted. When I decided that a car he had in stock would probably work for what I wanted, he went to run a credit app. When I told him no, because we hadn't even agreed on a price yet, he gave up and brought out his manager. Ladies reading this, you'll understand me. The first thing his manager did (sorry, I don't know his name... it wasn't worth remembering) was shake MY BOYFRIEND'S hand. Excuse you?? I should have walked out right then and there. I'm absolutely no feminist, but I certainly DO expect to be treated with the respect and courtesy that I deserve as THE customer. My boyfriend was just along for the ride, and he was VERY clear on that point to Mike. Either Mike didn't pass it on to the manager, or the manager was a jerk. I tried to give them a deposit on the Car That Might Suffice, but then this total jerk of a manager wouldn't even take my deposit. "We only take deposits on SOLD cars." Excuse me? I walked out with absolutely no intention of walking back in. On Monday, I started seriously emailing with Singer Subaru in Plaistow, NH. They were no pressure, prompt, NICE. They offered me the car I wanted with the options I wanted at $21,500. Then Mike from Manchester Subaru called me again. So I told him that unless he would give me the same car with the same options for $21,000, I wasn't coming back. "Oh well, uhh, let me have my manager give you call so he can explain [why we can't do that]." I told him point blank, "I'm not trying to be rude, but don't waste my time by "having your manager call me" unless he's calling me to offer me the car at $21,000." 20 minutes later, Tony (a manager) from Manchester Subaru called me - "with great news!" (Dear reader, I know you're getting tired of reading this, but the WHOLE EXPERIENCE was disrespectful, and Tony was the worst!) Tony told me that he would MATCH Singer's $21,500, plus I would get all the "great benefits of the #1 volume dealer". I told Tony, "Give me the car for $21,000, or leave me alone." He said to get $21,000 in writing from Singer, then he'd match THAT. ....so wait, you don't BEAT other dealers, you just match them? "Oh well... get it in writing from Singer for $21,000, then I'll beat it by $300. That's our guarantee - beat by $300." Dear Reader, you may be confused now. I know *I* was. Was Tony offering me the car for $21,500, or $21,200? (Either way, it wasn't the $21,000 I wanted.) Tony then tried other kinds of high pressure tactics - "Well...Singer doesn't HAVE the car you want. I have the car you want on my lot. I'm the highest volume dealer. I won't give them that car you want, because I want you to buy it from me!" Seriously?? I know we never met, but I PROMISE you, I do NOT have "GULLIBLE" stamped on my forehead, nor to I appreciate someone trying to BULLY me into a sale!! I went back to Singer, and they agreed to my price of $21,000. Right then and there, Singer had a deal. Tony called me again later that night. When I told him that I had already struck a deal with Singer, he tried to make me feel guilty, like I hadn't given him a chance. Then he tried to offer me the car at $20,500. Wait a minute, earlier in the day, you wouldn't give me the car for $21,000, but now you're so desperate for the sale that you'll go down by a whole thousand? That reeked so badly of slimy greasy used-car-salesmanship that I wanted to wash my ear when I hung up the phone. When he realized the finality of his lost sale, he practically hung up on me. I know my story is long, but I am highly offended by the way that I was treated by Manchester Subaru's managers! Shaking a hand is a small thing, but it's well known in today's markets that salespeople should address the buyer first. And I can't believe that Manchester Subaru fosters an environment of BULLYING (the real word for the politically correct "high pressure") their customers. As a customer, I am offended, and as a woman, I feel disrespected. More

They were understanding when I told them I needed a night to think about the car and they were so nice about it. Marc was even kind enough to deliver our new vehicle HIMSELF from Manchester NH to Orange MA. I would recommend this dealership to anyone! More

However what really meant so much to me was the compassion and respect they hold for their customers. Jack went above and beyond for my family. We are from Massachusetts, and not only was it like I was dealing with a neighbor, he made me feel like I was dealing with a family member. Then, to top it all off they delivered my car for me, walked me through the paperwork and process in the comfort of my own home. My family and I were hit very badly with the economy, and we were petrified to go into this process. The owner Todd also stepped up and personally called to help us through the process and to also congratulate us. You cannot find caring like this in many establishments. I will forever be grateful and touched by the wonderful people at Manchester Subaru. I highly recommend this dealership. I will be a forever customer. More
