Brough my car in for free recall service and made the mistake of also asking for state inspection. Was told inspection failed and got a suggested 2500$ in service to correct things. Brought my car to my usual mechanic and he fix the one actual issue they noted and passed state inspection for 1/10 that price. Not super impressed on fleecing me for money due to recall service not making them any... Outside of that, the service work done seems ok and staff was friendly during the service drop off and pickup and helped with getting me a loaner. More

PRIME SUBARU SERVICE First of all, let me start by saying that we have purchased 4 cars from our favorite salesman (who’s name I don’t want to mention in this rant.) He was fantastic as always. The service department on the other hand is nothing sort of inadequate. I had purchased an OEM Subaru STI lip kit and decided to have it installed by the dealer on my wife’s WRX. One of the service advisers quoted me $322 to have it installed. So about a month or so ago, my wife schedules her WRX to have them install the lip kit. She called the dealership before she left her work to see if it was done before she headed there to pick it up. The service manager proceeds to tell my wife that they accidentally drilled a hole in the passenger side rocker. He said that they will discount the labor, order a new rocker have it painted and installed at no charge. Okay, we understand that accident’s happen. So we were okay with this. We go to pick up the car and the bill is $744!?!? That’s a joke! What happened to $322? Oh that was a misquote. Now fast forward to dropping the vehicle of to be repaired not ONCE, but TWICE! First time the color wasn’t even close to matching, the second time it’s there for two weeks and all we get are excuses and the car never makes it to the body shop to be fixed. We are beyond frustrated. If this is not correct ASAP there will be letters to the AG and BBB offices along with every dealer review website that I can find. Don’t believe me? Try me! More
