Wanted to Sell the Car to my Boyfriend, Not To Me. I've been in the market for a used Subaru and I came to this dealership with the intention of looking around and understanding what's available, what I've been in the market for a used Subaru and I came to this dealership with the intention of looking around and understanding what's available, what the going prices are on used Subarus from different years, etc. I am new to the used car game and still in the research process; I was not looking to buy that day. However, my experience did ensure that I will not come back to Manchester Subaru when I am ready to make a purchase. I came with my boyfriend and after we had walked around the lot and looked at the used cars, we went inside to ask a few questions. Steve Silva was happy to answer questions for us, or at least, as I soon discovered, happy to answer questions for my boyfriend. Now I understand why it may be a little hard to take me seriously; I'm eighteen and when I eventually buy a car my dad will be paying for it. And if I had come to the dealership with my dad, I would absolutely understand why Mr. Silva would direct his attention toward him rather than me. However, I came with my boyfriend who is also eighteen and has also never bought a car before. We made it very clear to Mr. Silva that I was the one looking to buy a car (and also that I'm actually a little older than my boyfriend) and he still refused to take me seriously, directing all of his attention toward my boyfriend and even demanding after I gave him my phone number -- for contact about cars that just came in this weekend -- that my boyfriend give his number, because apparently mine was not sufficient or he couldn't contact me or something like that. This experience was very frustrating to me because I consider myself an independent woman. The reason I'm looking for the car rather than having my dad look for it is because I want to understand the process of finding and buying a car for the future, because I'm not a woman who wants to sit passively by and let the men in my life do things for me. Mr. Silva's automatic expectation that if two young people come in asking about cars, he ought to talk to the man, was startlingly old fashioned to me, and frankly completely unacceptable. More
2 Bad Experiances In 2015 I attempted to purchase a outback from this dealership. They had published on their website bring us your best quote and we will be it by 500$ In 2015 I attempted to purchase a outback from this dealership. They had published on their website bring us your best quote and we will be it by 500$. I procured my best quote and they refused to beat it. In 2017, I found an ad on autotrader for 2 used subarus that I was interested in for my kid. I went to inquire about them and they told me they wont sell them to me. The sales person insisted they were junk and that I should buy a more expensive one. They gave me every excuse why they wont sell them to me and that they are required by law to list them, but they wont sell them. I find this dealer to be extreemly shady, and would never do business with them. If you are in the market for a Subaru in southern NH go to Prime Subaru in Hudson and stay as far away from Manchester Subaru as you can. More

After I checked in my WRX at the Service Kiosk at 9:10 a.m. I walked down to Dunkin Donuts to kill some time while I waited for my car. At 9:30 a.m. I looked outside and saw my 2015 WRX in the Dunkin Donuts parking lot. I thought this was strange because my WRX was supposed to be getting serviced. But then I saw a Subaru Technician in line at Dunkin Donuts getting Coffee and Donuts for all the technicians at Manchester Subaru, using my car. This poses many concerns, what happens if he got into an accident or hit someone or spilled coffee all over my interior. And at this point they had wasted 20 minutes of my time, which shows a lack of respect for a customers valued time. I took a picture of my WRX in the parking lot and watched the technician drive away. I waited until my car service was completed and walked back to Manchester Subaru. I showed them the picture of my WRX in the Dunkin Donuts parking lot and due to the unprofessionalism of the technician they comped the full cost of the service. I asked if they could notify the owner of what happened and have him give me a call when he gets into the dealership on Monday March 27th. Today is Thursday April 6 and I have still received no call. Being a customer for 2 years, I am extremely disappointed in the lack of professionalism and respect at Manchester Subaru. This clearly shows that Manchester Subaru does not care about their customers. More
They will try to get you to overpay for service you don't ne I bought my car here at the beginning of 2015 and have been participating in their "free oil change program" which stipulates that I receive free oil I bought my car here at the beginning of 2015 and have been participating in their "free oil change program" which stipulates that I receive free oil changes as long as I bring my car to them for regular service appointments on a schedule. I have followed that plan for 2 years to a T. Now today I bring in my car for the scheduled free oil change and I am told that I actually need to have a $270 service done. When I ask to see documentation, or a copy of the plan I am following, they tell me they don't have it anymore, but can assure me "this is what is required." After some time trying to get documentation or anything that would back up what they are saying, I am given a pamphlet with suggested service. The pamphlet itself says I do not need that $270 service until my next visit. When I point this out to the man working in service, he tears up the pamphlet he had just handed me and says "that's a misprint." When I ask why they give it to customers if it's a misprint, he tells me they don't give it to customers. He literally had just handed it to me, and then told me they don't give it to customers. These pamphlets are all over their service counter. These people are con artists. They tell you whatevery they think they need to get you to overpay for service. Absolutely DO NOT TRUST. More

Ive also sent 2-3 of my coworkers to them who ended up buying from them. The sales rep Gary was very helpful and responsive which made me buy from a dealer 50+ miles from my place. "Free oil change" was not the deciding factor but was an attractive feature UNTIL I saw the real face of their service department. The service scheduler will never honer the request of a loaner even if u just need it for and hour and once in a year, equally rude was her manager Taylor Lowe adamant on their POLICY to not give a loaner for any service less than 3 hrs., and the xxxx with customer satisfaction. Ive done 3-4 service with them and every time they just refuse the loaner. And the service is also a fraud which will charge you over than standard for the major service (which has to be done by them to honor free oil change for life). Its well said you should never judge the book by its cover, well applicable to this dealership. DO NOT FALL FOR THIE CLAIM OF LARGEST SUBURU SELLER IN NEW ENGLAND. The servicing department sucks big time. Its a matter of few months when other suburu dealer with very good service department and respect for customers will beat them. Will never recommend them to anyone of my friends or coworkers ever!!!!!!!!!!! More
Extremely hostile sales manager I look forward to never stepping foot in this dealership again. I shopped around at several Subaru dealerships to get the best price I could find. Mos I look forward to never stepping foot in this dealership again. I shopped around at several Subaru dealerships to get the best price I could find. Most dealerships I visited were fine with this, but the Sales Manager at Manchester Subaru was openly hostile to me. He offered me an insulting price to start, and when I said that I was going to visit other dealerships he immediately offered me a lower price, insisting that nobody would be able to beat it. However, this price was only available if I purchased immediately. I told him that I was going to do my due diligence and visit other dealerships, and he began insulting me saying that I was wasting his time and asking why he should do all this hard work (Sorry, what hard work? Doing your xxxx job?) if I was only going to end up buying elsewhere. Of course the very next place I visited handily beat his price without even knowing I already had a number for them to compete with, and they managed to do it without insulting me in the process. I would avoid this dump at all costs. More

Do not buy from them ever. I bought a 2015 Subaru from them in June. The first rainstorm the entire car was soaked due to a faulty windshield replacement. I asked them to pay for repairs. They refused. Then, this winter I went to put on snow tires, and found that they were already on the car. Who sells someone a car in June with winter tires on it???? I was also lied to and told there were "fantastic, brand new all season tires" on it when I purchased the car. I emailed three times to discuss the matter, and no one responded. When I got through to someone they said "what do you want us to do?". Ummm well apologize to me? Maybe let me buy all seasons for cost since I probably wrecked the crappy winter tires you put on it driving it all summer? Do not buy from them. They suck. More
Early holiday gift Manchester Subaru, Manchester, NH Dear Mr. Berkowitz, It was a pleasure speaking with you about your outstanding customer service especially from Manchester Subaru, Manchester, NH Dear Mr. Berkowitz, It was a pleasure speaking with you about your outstanding customer service especially from your service advisor Barry Rogers. After explaining to Barry the gift we wanted to give our daughter he was more than excited to go out of his way to make it happen. And after a couple of bumps in the road with my daughter cancelling and rescheduling appointments he finally called me when the job had been completed. I myself work at a car dealership in New Jersey and was equally excited to share with my owner what your dealership had done for my daughter. We'd like to personally thank Barry and your service department for their exceptional service. Happy Holidays from the Kilgore family!!! ******************************* My daughters post on Facebook: So I bring my car into Subaru because I was told I had a recall on a part (which I did) and when I go to leave I am handed this cute bow and a card that says Merry Christmas, Love Mom and Dad. They set the whole thing up with Subaru to put automatic start in my car! Thank you so much. A great surprise. 😊🎄🎁 More
Bait and switch service? I am a 3 Subaru owner, 2 of which were purchased at Manchester Subaru. The sales portion of this dealership is fair. However, what they give up to you I am a 3 Subaru owner, 2 of which were purchased at Manchester Subaru. The sales portion of this dealership is fair. However, what they give up to you in the sales negotiation they more than try to make up for it by over charging or by pushing several service additives that your vehicle does not require and is not part of the Subaru manufacturers recommendations. When you purchase your vehicle they will inform you that you are entitled to "free oil changes". Well, the old saying is true...there's no such thing as a free lunch...or in this case "free oil change". In order to obtain the free oil changes you are required to have all of your major services performed at their dealership. Given that I typically do this anyway, I thought no big deal, I'll have them do my major service. That was until I made an appointment for 30k service. The service advisor emailed me a quote for my upcoming service and indicated it would be $550. This service is quoted on their website as costing $469. I emailed the advisor back to question the discrepancy. However, after 3 days I did not receive a reply so I called the advisor to question the discrepancy. He said that the price on the website must be wrong. Upon further review of the proposed services I learned that they were charging me for a multitude of high priced additives that Subaru does not recommend and things like inspecting your door hinges. I'm guessing this is how they jack up the maintenance cost and make up for free oil changes and any concessions that are given up during the sales process. At this point I emailed Todd the owner to point out the price discrepancy between the quote and what they indicate the cost to be online. Todd more or less told me that it didn't say that online. So, I cut and pasted the website link and sent it to Todd. It has now been 3 weeks and the mis information is still on their website. If you are going to have your car serviced at this dealership do your homework and pay for what you "really need". Don't buy their gimmick overpriced additives. If you use the coupons on their website and stick with real services and avoid the blotted extras you can get away without needing to take out another loan. More
Absolutely Awesome Subaru Dealership and Staff We recently took delivery of our new 2017 Subaru Forester with the new Eyesight technology from Manchester Subaru, and we couldn't be happier with the We recently took delivery of our new 2017 Subaru Forester with the new Eyesight technology from Manchester Subaru, and we couldn't be happier with the transaction. We purchased our new Impreza there in 2012 and knew this was the place to go for an excellent price on our next new Subaru. We live in central Massachusetts and live over two hours away, and I communicated by e-mail with Steve Silva who is the "best". I had secured a great price at another dealership after doing extensive research for pricing, and Manchester Subaru came through again with its "$300 price guarantee". Steve located the Forester and color of choice for no extra cost and held the car for three weeks while my wife and I were on a cruise. He had the dealership add a couple of accessories we wanted installed. He sent a representative to our home before the cruise with paperwork. Upon our return, we agreed upon a delivery date and our new Subaru was delivered to our home with everything installed as promised and at the agreed upon price. Steve is a man of his word, and an excellent representative of Manchester Subaru. The whole transaction was completed without leaving our home. At Manchester Subaru there is no pressure, the best price, courteous staff, and free delivery. We couldn't be more pleased with our new car purchase from Manchester Subaru. More
