It took over one week to replace and install with multiple assurances that it would be fixed quickly. A loaner car was also an obstacle. My wife was the only customer when she came to pick up the vehicle and instead of being helped when she arrived, a guy showed up ordered a pizza and THEN asked if my wife needed help. No one ever reached out to my wife offering an apology. More

Poor experience, completely unreliable This was a terrible experience all around. The salesperson was clueless, the manager was rude, and it's turning out that all around were simply lying. This was a terrible experience all around. The salesperson was clueless, the manager was rude, and it's turning out that all around were simply lying. I was told to come back for a free inspection sticker every year for as long as I own my car. On my very first trip back, I am now told that the dealership is no longer honoring that offer. Avoid if at all possible!!! More

Chuck the GM gave me a fantastic deal and Greg in finance got my paperwork all done and explained everything quickly. Couldn’t ask for a better experience More

The service department informed us that in fact they would NOT provide the oil change at no charge, and that furthermore they would charge us $74 for oil-change service. When pressed, they still declined to honor the arrangement they had agreed to. So we said no thank you, we will NOT reward you for not upholding your end of a deal that we made; we'll bring the car to our local mechanic, who charges $45 for oil-change service, and save ourselves $29 for every oil change in perpetuity. It so happens, by the way, that we are in the market for a new Subaru, which we likely would have bought at this dealer but now most certainly will not, as we're severing all ties with them permanently. So in the end, they cost themselves the sale of at least one new Subaru in pursuit of $74 which they didn't even get from us...how incredibly short-sighted and dumb. Meanwhile, we're perfectly happy to get any future Subarus at Milford Subaru. More

Quirk was outright deceptive from the first conversation. We called Jack Berkowitz and dealt with him over the phone. He was knowledgeable and gave us a fair price. The process was honest with no games. There was no "pushy" way about him and he was patient with all of our questions. Jack drove over 100 miles to deliver the car to us. Great transaction. More
Poor customer service, no follow-up. In October 2013 I picked up a new Outback Ltd. When I bought the car from Jack Berkowitz, he told me my maintenance would be free for the first year (or maybe it was two, I forget). Anyway, when I tried to make an appointment for an oil change, their service department wouldn’t do it unless I had some level of Subaru-suggested service first, which would cost me around $250.00. I told them I didn’t need the tires rotated, the cabin air filter changed, and whatever else they wanted to do, as I did a lot of that myself. They still wouldn’t do it. I emailed Berkowitz about it, got a couple of “I’ll look into its” and never heard another thing back. Since then I’ve done most of my own service, and with over 80K, no major problems. A couple of years ago, my wife talked me into putting my feelings aside and to go down and try to find a used Subaru for my son who was moving to Maine. When we got there, Jack Berkowitz was with another client but knew we were there. We found a couple of cars we wanted more information on but it was later in the day. We spoke with Jack when he was leaving in his car. He said he would get back to us the next day and he took my phone number – never heard a word. We ended up buying a Toyota from a dealer in Bangor instead. When it came time to retire my 2007 Imprezza, I knew where I was not going to go. I got a good deal at Prime up in Norwich, VT and I’ll stay with them. Just think, because of one oil change and lack of any follow-up, the Berkowitz Brothers lost two sales and my future business. Poor Service, Poor Follow-up I recently brought my Impreza into the service department due to "intermittent vibration during high speed (highway) breaking". I gave a very detailed I recently brought my Impreza into the service department due to "intermittent vibration during high speed (highway) breaking". I gave a very detailed description to the advisor. After several hours, I was told that I had warped rotors in the front, causing the vibration, and needed new pads and rotors on the rear. I agreed to all of the service recommended...Total cost over $1000. I continued to experience the exact same "intermittent vibration during high speed (highway) breaking" so I brought it back in. This time, they diagnosed that I needed new front calipers because they were binding...over $500! Why didn't anyone realize this the first time? Why didn't anyone question why the rotors were warped? Now the new rotors, just installed need to be resurfaced and brake pads chamfered... guess who had to pay for all this... ME! After picking it up, I realize that the brakes are really spongy. I return to the service department for my third trip so they can properly bleed and fill the system... Service Advisor has the Shop Foreman do a road test... the diagnosis is "functioning properly". He literally said to me "if you stomp on the brakes it will put you through the windshield"... WHAT? More

He is a Customer advocate and makes any car buyer feel at ease. This experience was a breathe of fresh air after a terrible experience with my last car purchase at another dealer, even when I arrived so close to closing time. There was no rush and although the service department was closed, I was able to take my car that night, which was not the case with my last car purchase from a dealer in Nashua, NH. My prior buying experience at Peter's Honda required me to return to the dealership three days in a row, which was 1.5 hours drive from my home, after being told each time that my NEW car would be ready the next day because service had closed and could not perform a state inspection, which was COMPLETELY opposite with Manchester Subaru. I would highly recommend Manchester Subaru for your next new car purchase! More
