Disappointed (non)service Bought my vehicle 4 years ago (when it was Manchester Subaru); it came with lifetime oil changes (provided I keep up with scheduled maintenance - whic Bought my vehicle 4 years ago (when it was Manchester Subaru); it came with lifetime oil changes (provided I keep up with scheduled maintenance - which I have done, despite living 500 miles away. I am back to NH often and always got my vehicle serviced here; loved dealing with the folks in the Service department back then. I have had some problems with oil consumption in the past and worked with the previous Service team to address the problem. They were always very helpful with whatever I needed to have done; never tried to upsell and always worked with me (and my crazy schedule of commuting to/from NH). It was worth the trip to get my car serviced here. Recently when the low oil level light came on again, I stopped in to a Subaru dealer near where I am currently living to get the levels topped off before my 500 mile drive home to NH for the holiday. That Service Advisor told me about a Technical Service Bulletin regarding high oil consumption problems with my model vehicle; he advised me to speak with my regular service department (in Manchester) to address the issue (when I came in for my regular oil change). When I arrived at Prime at 7am to get a routine oil change and to discuss the TSB (oil consumption issue), the Service Advisor told me that I had to have the 30K Service done, showed me the brochure of what would be done, the cost (nearly $700) and that it would take about 4 hours. I was only prepared to wait for an oil change - and not to sit in the waiting room for 4+ hours; the Service Advisor (name unknown) said they could give me a shuttle ride 'somewhere'. As I'm staying 25 miles away, and nothing is really open at 7am, a shuttle ride was not an option. I indicated I was not prepared for a 4 hour wait. She replied they could do just the oil change, but that she would have to charge me full price for it (instead of the 'lifetime of free oil changes') because I wasn't getting the 30K Maintenance done at the same time. I opted to leave instead. I'll take the risk and drive 500 miles to have it done at the dealer near where I now live. The 'lifetime' program isn't worth the drive to Manchester anymore now that the staff has all changed. More

This is a 2017 Outback I bought there about 2 years ago when it was Manchester Subaru, and was the third consecutive Subaru I bought new there, only has 58,800 miles. They said bring it in, something with the sensor not recognizing it was in park. I thought it would be a quick, minor fix, so I waited while they did it, took well over 3 hours, cost over $400 (I guess Subaru doesn't stand behind their cars as much as I thought they would) for some sort of shifter linkage assembly. I'm disappointed that a near new Subaru would need such an expensive repair with so few miles on it, and that it wouldn't be covered by their warrantee. Kind of reminds me of adventures I had years back with a string of GM products, ugh. As a bonus I have a grease stain on my passenger seat that wasn't there when I went in. Not particularly happy. More
Radio Issue My brand new Subaru has had lots of radio issue. Prime has don’t a great job of trying to fix this for me. This is how service should be! I took my Outback in for service today, had an oil change and yearly inspection done. I told Dawnmarie I was having a problem with my fuse panel door I took my Outback in for service today, had an oil change and yearly inspection done. I told Dawnmarie I was having a problem with my fuse panel door and I couldn’t set my clock, she came outside with me and showed me how to set the clock and then she fixed the fuse panel for me! It only took a minute and she did it right there instead of pushing it off on someone else!! Very personable and professional, you have made a customer for life! More
