Service Plans "bumper to bumper" April 2018 we bought a 2015 Subaru Outback. The vehicle had been a lease. The price was expensive but my wife liked the car. The finance guy (Vietnam April 2018 we bought a 2015 Subaru Outback. The vehicle had been a lease. The price was expensive but my wife liked the car. The finance guy (Vietnamese guy working on Saturday, April 7, 2018 so we all know who this was) sold us a "Bumper to bumper" 100,000 mile maintenance plan. I don't know what we paid for that plan but both me and my wife remember him saying "bumper to bumper" over and over. I do remember it being in the thousands of dollars for the plan. We got a coupon book in the mail for the maintenance. Very 1980s like. Very unnecessary except designed to make life hard on the buyer to use the plan. It's only good at the Manchester location and it was sold to me by the Manchester location and yet the maintenance department doesn't have it in their computer database. Very 1980s. Very designed to make life hard on the buyer. The plan was not at all bumper to bumper. It covers oil changes and tire rotations and a multi-point inspection (all car dealers love to do the inspection so they can find things wrong and charge to fix them so calling this a feature I'm paying for seems like a terrible business practice and really lets just call it a scam). So, when I was told that things like a 30,000 mile check up would be covered and a 60,000 check up would be covered that was a 100% a lie. Some parts are covered for 30,000 miles but otherwise it's oil changes and tire rotations for 6 years or 100,000 which is not the 10 year/100,000 plan I was told I was buying (and actually it's only 72,000 miles for parts of this plan - the oil change part). And looking at the coupon book I don't even see tire rotation. Nothing was real. This was absolute theft. I looks like I paid thousands of dollars for 6 years of oil changes. And since these discussions with the finance guy aren't recorded there is really no record of what was said and what was sold to me. I do know that on his chart we bought the best "bumper to bumper" plan he had to offer. I have a paper saying Platinum. I can't imagine what the worst plan included. Let's hope there isn't a lot of maintenance needed, although today I am getting new tires because one tire was already going bad when I bought the car. The car has 27,000 miles on it. I've put in 9000 miles in the last year since I bought the car. This is a stupid $800 to have to spend. What does a platinum bumper to bumper plan include and if Subaru responds, why was I consistently told this was a bumper to bumper plan when the service team feels this is an oil change and tire rotation. Not sure if it’s because I’m a young female, because none of the older male customers he spoke with seemed to have the same attitude. He listed several issues with my car but when I asked “so what does that mean” and “can you show me where,” he just repeated the same thing he had said, verbatim. Didn’t even recommend solutions or fixes (i.e. suggesting an auto body shop). I just don’t understand what I did to xxxx him off or why he had to have such an attitude, every other Subaru dealer I’ve been to has prided itself in customer service. When my car was done being worked on he dumped my papers at the cashier and told me to sign without explanation. At that point I felt too embarrassed and belittled to ask him any more questions. I came to this dealer because it was the closest to me, but as soon as I left I drove to another service center who helped me get the work I needed done instead. More

My experience was poor communications, very shady finance pratices, and a very lackadaisical attitude. I had purchased this car on a Sunday and struggled to have the deal modification made as it seemed like way too much work for the staff, So on would figure that after five full working day the car was not ready, had only a half tank of gas (promised full tank) and no State inspection sticker, They did no provide all the keys for the car.either. Seems like the attitude was do not worry just come back. Poor service, and not fully support the gold extended warrentee For me it is time to find a reputable dealer. I now regret not going to the Nissan dealer. More

Fraudulent & Poor Quality Services Department I purchased a new Subaru from this dealership 4 years ago and have had all of my services performed here because of the free oil change incentive. I purchased a new Subaru from this dealership 4 years ago and have had all of my services performed here because of the free oil change incentive. This past December I had brought the car in for the 60,000 mile service that is required under warranty and paid what was due for the service. In January I was experiencing issues with the Hvac/ Heating in the car and had to bring it in for repair. After 3 failed attempts to fix the issue (and them trying to get a deductible each time) I took the car to a different Subaru dealership who pointed out that I needed to do the 60,000 mile service. This was concerning seeing how I had just had the service done at Prime Subaru, but after further inspection it was clear as day that the cabin air filter was never changed, the tires were never aligned (or done properly), and the brake fluid was pretty dirty, making me wonder what I got for the $700 charge besides prematurely worn tires. On a separate occasion I had to have the short block replaced because of over oil consumption. Leading up to this I tried addressing the issue to the service manager who would not listen to my case and dismissed the issue. After contacting Subaru HQ they had me bring the car for the oil consumption test. I believe I did the test 4 times with them denying there was an issue. On the 5th time I caught that they were overfilling the oil so it would read normal and marking the dipstick incorrectly. Cut to 6 months later after these guys replaced the shortblock and every light on my dash was on. I once again addressed the issue because it was all relative to the areas of the service and was denied help because there was "no way the issues are related". Subaru HQ had me take the car to a different dealership who found that Prime Subaru did not seal anything up after the engine replacement causing all kinds of failures. More
