In May 2018, I purchased a 2015 Forester. The car has been fine--no issues. However, after a year, I decided to cancel the "Prime Protection" warranty coverage with AutoBodyGuard (it cost $1195 at purchase and I decided I didn't need it). They informed me via letter last July that I would be entitled to a pro-rated refund. No problem. However, they would send the check to the dealership and in-turn, they would process the refund directly onto the loan. Also, not a problem. After attempting multiple times between July and November, I finally received an answer from someone named "Josh" who said the refund should be ~$700 or 800. No problem. I attempted to follow up several times again over the next month; finally in January (shortly after Christmas) I physically went to the dealership with my refund letter and asked them to process the refund. Still...no action. Bear in mind, I now live in Colorado so returning to the dealership multiple times to ask for action on this refund isn't practical. Since January, I have sent multiple e-mails to the dealership asking for a status on my refund. All I ask is that the dealership return my call and process my pro-rated refund according to the letter from AutoBodyGuard. What was originally a good buying experience has left me very frustrated and disappointed. Hopefully they will see this note and return contact. More
