I realize that my Civic was 10 years old, but feel that the first offer of $500.00 was way off. I got $1000.00 in trade but feel I could have done a lot better had a sold it privately. It was explained to me that Prime retails their cars for a lot lower than Kelley Blue book posts, but it still is confusing to me. What If I walked in to buy the CRV with no trade? I won't know. After having visited numerous Maine dealers, I found Prime Honda in Saco, Maine and David Torstensen. This was a whole different experience than the four other dealers I had visited. The price on my used Honda Odyssey was immediately right with absolutely no bickering and hasseling. The price was well below, about 25% below, consumer reports "true" price buying from a dealer for the make model and mileage vehicle I bought. Salesman Torstensen was knowledgeable, direct, and friendly. I did not get the greasy feeling I had with the other dealers. I explained my concern on warranty since the vehicle I was buying did have some high miles and a lot of convenience items that could break. He explained I could purchase coverage for interior items along with paint and carpet protection for a reasonable price; which I did. Also, I love the Prime lifetime Powertrain warranty so long as I get my oil changes and tire rotations every 4K-6K with them. My only regret is that I wasted time at the other dealers haggling when I could have saved myself a bunch of grief by starting my search at Prime. I thought this dealers commercials were baloney since most are, but honestly this was a terrific experience. I highly recommend these folks. More

When I first entered the showroom of Prime Honda with the idea that I was purchasing a Chevy Tahoe, I was very upset to think that the vehicle had already been purchased. Originally I came in to look at a 2008 Accord w/30k for around 16K but after reviewing all options on the lot I finally got a great deal on a brand new 2010 Accord with .9% financing. They were professional and courteous throughout the entire process. If you are in the market for a Honda/Toyota/Nissan definitely check out their dealerships for a refreshingly honest experience!
