Absolutely ridiculous 1) I have owned fords since I was 16, I’m 53 and I am shocked at the practices in your dealership. I am a return Maine resident from Spfld Mass area. 1) I have owned fords since I was 16, I’m 53 and I am shocked at the practices in your dealership. I am a return Maine resident from Spfld Mass area. I have used extended warranties on all my cars. I have always gone to the dealership for prom lens with my cars. I brought my explorer that needed an alternator. I knew it needed one because it died in a Sunday when you were not open and went to ORielys to have a battery installed. They, for free put the “ computer” on my car and told me I needed an alternator. You charged me $120 to do the same thing. My warranty told me that’s crazy and only paid for 1/2. My windshield wiper motor died 1/2 way through last winter. It went slower and slower and died. It is also covered so I asked them to take care of that and wastold it would be anoth $120 to diagnose that. Are u kidding me. In 30 years I was told if we fix you don’t pay to diagnose and that was back before plugging a machine into a computer in the car and being told in 5 min what was wrong. What a rip off. Then it took two full days to get the job done. I am looking for a new car next month as my son is now here and driving my husbands F150 and we decided a new one was due us anyway. My daughter two months ago went across to the Chevy dealer and bought a new Silverado. I called them and was told they never would have charged me $240 for those simple diagnosis especially since I was fixing it with you, so we have decided that we will become Chevy truck drivers now. I have defended all my Ford choices over the years. I still own my 66 coup mustang and my ford Ranger. I’ve owned a beautiful Tbird a windstar I drove for 13 years and loved I even owned a 5 speed EXP. I still own a Focus I use for long business trips, great on gas. The only vehicles I’ve ever bought that were not Fords are my HARLEYS. SO since your practice is to now charge us for such simple diagnosis I’m going to have spend my golden years in Chevy. My husband is so mad he wants to sell the -66 and 78 Ghia mustangs. I’m fighting him in that choice. So here’s to change. I know the little my decision will impact you, but it’s the small things in life that count and for me being treated like you care about me is a small thing that counts Carole Nelson Scarborough Maine More
