My wife and I stopped by Luther's Toyota on Wednesday, June 23rd, 2010. We had just come from the Nissan dealer across the street, talking with a sales guy whom I was not impressed with. We had done research on the Altima and Camry and told my wife I think we're better off looking a the Camry. We drove into the Luther lot and was met my Wayne Holten, great guy, very professional and opposite of our previous sales guy experience. If your looking for a great car, knowledgeable and no pressure salesman, we recommend requesting a visit with Wayne (Johnny Carson look alike). He found us the car my wife had wanted, at a reasonable price, with a few laughs thrown in. I typically don't like dealing with salesman, but highly recommend seeing Wayne. Straight shooter, honest. I had such a good car buying experience at Inver Grove Toyota. From Wayne in sales to the staff in the finance department, it was excellent how they treated me. Having shopped at 4 dealers before coming here I was getting nowhere with trying to trade in my vehicle and getting a new one that would work for me. One other dealer seemed to want to get me on my way without making much attempt to find me a solution. Inver Grove Toyota from the outset was professional and friendly. You get the feeling these guys know what they are doing from the moment they meet you without a touch of that 'car-sales' feel that you get from most dealers. The salesman ( Wayne ) from 1st talking to him seemed like he was going to find some way to get me a deal that would work for me...almost had the feeling like it was personal with him. And Dan in finance discussed multiple options with clarity and expertise, including high-mileage lease ( which I didnt think was possible ). I ended up getting more than I expected at a fair price and a great price for my trade. I would highly recommend these guys if you need a vehicle...if they cant get you a deal that is attractive to you, I'd bet no one could. As a matter of fact I'd have recommended them even if we couldnt have reached a deal. More

I received a big smile-producing dollar amount for my 8-year-old trade-in and good advice about how to configure the options I wanted most for my new Prius without paying more than I wanted to--and get options I didn't really care about. Inver Grove did after-market leather and seat heaters and gave me a new Camry loaner to drive. I loved the seat heaters and was tepid about the way the leather was fitting on two head rests, a door and part of a seat. I called Mike and left a message stating my concerns about the leather. He called back the next day and said, if I'm not happy, bring it back and they'd re-do it. I did and it was perfect. Prior to the Prius brake recall, I called Inver Grove's service. It was in the midst of the accelerator recall. I spoke with Steve within a couple of rings of the phone, he listened to my concerns, patiently explained that there currently wasn't a recall, but that what I was experiencing seemed to be related to a software fuction for the anti-lock break and told me that he was documenting my concerns and would send them to Toyota for me. I received an e-mail from Mike Althoff the next day after the Prius recall was announced, stating what the recall entailed and telling me my options for service. I clicked on the link to Inver Grove's Web site, clicked on the service menu (I noticed prices were listed for common services) and was scheduled for my recall work at a day and time convenient for me. I was in-and-out of the service in 40 minutes with a free car wash and flowers to boot. There's been nothing that I haven't really liked about this dealership and I personally visited the manager to let him know that and to congratulate him (this intentional customer care comes from the top down). I've NEVER done that before. More
My wife and I were interested in a used Cadillac SRX that they were selling (they had it on the lot since another customer had traded it in). We contacted the dealership, and stressed repeatedly that we wer they were selling (they had it on the lot since another customer had traded it in). We contacted the dealership, and stressed repeatedly that we were NOT interested in any cars with REAR-wheel drive. We were told by Greg Gagne that this particular car had FRONT-wheel drive (he supposedly verified this with a phone call to a local Cadillac dealership), so we made a 40-minute drive to see the car. We completed a test drive, and had agreed on a tentative price pending a review of the Carfax/Autocheck. They were slow in providing the paperwork, and we finally discovered why. We had asked to speak directly to the Cadillac dealership and provided them with the VIN #. The Cadillac dealership (the same one that Greg had supposedly spoken with earlier) told us that this car was a REAR-wheel drive. Greg ASSURED us that the Cadillac dealer was not correct or being disingenous. We contacted a 2nd Cadillac dealership to verify using the VIN #, and they also told us this car was a REAR-wheel drive. He also told us that NO 2006 SRX's had FRONT-wheel drive, only ALL-wheel drive or REAR-wheel drive(which made us question if Greg had really spoken to him). We spent a significant amount of time with this dealership, and we were very disappointed with the end result. Greg was either a) disingenous, or b) did not know his merchandise that he was trying to sell us. Either way, this result was unacceptable. If not for our independent verification, we would have walked out the door with a car that was NOT what was represented to us. Buyer beware!!! More
My past experiences with automotive salespeople has been less than satisfying; I've been pressured, belittled, schmoozed and worse. As a result, I have never really felt that great about the car-buying decisions I've made; in fact, I've been left with a bad taste in my mouth time and again. My experience at Toyota was the complete opposite of this. My salesperson, Mike, was fantastic. He was extremely respectful and I never once felt pressured. In fact, when I asked to have the night to mull over my decision, he encouraged it. When I decided to buy my Scion, he walked me through everything step-by-step, making sure that I understood everything and was comfortable. Jessica and Ann, the two finance managers I worked with, were equally excellent and enthusiastic. Upon buying my car, I was also introduced to the general manager, who was very friendly. I got the overall feeling that these people really like their jobs. I've had my new car about a week, and I absolutely love it. I feel great about my decision, and would definitely recommend this dealership. Pushy salespeople, take note! More

I've always dreaded the hassle of purchasing a new car. Shook my self-confidence to the core. But all the people at Inver Grove Toyota, and especially our sales person Wayne Holten (a deadringer for Johnny Shook my self-confidence to the core. No "vultures," no surprises. Seems to be a dealership that prides itself in customer service and satisfaction. I feel we got a quality car at a great price from an ethical company. And that's what it's all about. Since our purchase, we've had follow-up phone calls on our level of satisfaction from the manager, from Wayne, and from Toyota headquarters. We feel like VIPs! We'll definitely go back to Inver Grove Toyota for our next car purchase. More
