She talked so fast about the tire insurance that I was not given any time to think about what she was offering. I agreed to the insurance but resented how it was presented. I think the type of tires on my Sienna van should have been explained regarding their vulnerability to wear and failure. I sold insurance for over 20 years and spent a lot of time helping my clients understand the benefits and features of what they were buying. I felt the presentation was based on fear, failure and very little on the benefits of owning the insurance. This benefit was merely a tool for risk management. If I had time to think I would have opted out of the insurance. I could afford to manage the risk. . More
